Main & Mill Oyster Bar & Tavern

Zeke was awesome! Appetizers were delicious, we purchased devil eggs with the fried shrimp jalapeño pepper on top and fried oysters. Entree catfish plate and Grits and shrimp. Nice atmosphere and we were with an awesome couple.

We went Tuesday and Wednesday! It was sooooo GOOD! Chelsea is the bomb.com! Very friendly, funny, and attentive!

Food was outstanding and our waiter, Jordan was extremely courteous and professional. We will be back!

Every other restaurant in a 20 mile radius could learn something from Main & Mill, and I’ve eaten at all of them. The food was spectacular as was the service. 10’s 10’s 10’s across the board!

Without a doubt, some of the best food I’ve had in the area.

Cathleen is our favorite waitress and she is amazing. We have ordered almost everything on the menu and it exceeds expectations.

If I could give less than 1 star for service I would. We had 615pm reservations. It was 39 minutes before we could order drinks and an appetizer. It was an hour before we actually got the appetizers, which were pretty good, especially the seared tuna. We ordered our entrees when we ordered the apps. It was 2 hours before we ate our meal. We ran out of water continously and had to get up and find someone to get us water. They kept saying how busy they were and that was why the kitchen was backed up, but there sure were a lot of empty tables. Entrees were not too bad but my fish was so overcooked I could not eat it. Could not send it back because it would have come by the next morning. Too expensive for such bad service and decent food quality on most dishes. My fear is the food was just sitting back there and that is why my fish was overdone. Unfortunately won't be back.

We liked out food! We were a party of 4 and the cost of our meals was $200. We ordered two appetizers, main-course and dessert. The reason I read the atmosphere low is our table was definitely old and I got two splinters while eating. I brought this to our waiters attention, and apology was made, but no first aid was offered. I expect tables in this condition at any restaurant to be refinished or retired. It was my daughter’s 18th birthday and our server knew. Other tables when we were leaving had servers sing to them and also gave them a complementary birthday candle with a dessert, but this was not offered to us. This disappointed us. The parking at this restaurant is difficult and for my parents who are 78 walking two blocks was not an ideal way to start off this birthday celebration.

Had our first visit at Main and Mill tonight. When we made our reservations, the hostess said 35-45 minutes. Our party of four decided to support Nauti Dog, a local brewery right beside Main and Mill. We ordered our beers, got the notice out table was ready within minutes. We declined our table, finished our beers. When we went to Main and Mill we apologized, told them we just ordered beers didn't want to hold a table, the OWNER told us if it happened again he would never seat us again. I have NEVER been reprimanded at a restaurant. We were seated, the wait staff was wonderful, but I will never step foot in that place again.

This was our first visit to Main & Mill. We were able to get a seat without waiting at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Our waiter was Nathaniel and he did an excellent job during our visit. I had the Main & Mill burger with egg and my wife had the special that night. My burger came out a little under what I ordered and even though I had eaten a 1/3 of it Nathaniel offered to make it right. I didn't send it back but actually enjoyed it the way it came out. The pork chop was very good and we had the butterscotch Carmel bunt cake with ice cream for dessert. From what we had I was pleased with the portion to price ratio. We will be back again to try some of their other items.

Had an awesome experience at Main & Mill! There was a small mix-up with our order, but the staff handled it so well. Even though they were super busy and short on staff, they were incredibly kind and generous, especially to my wife. On top of that, the food was fantastic—everything was delicious! Definitely a spot we’ll be going back to. Highly recommend!
