I ate here after passing by many times. I wanted to like it. I got the fried shrimp basket and my son got a grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was fine--very kid-friendly. The fries were the big crinkle-cut kind (huge freezer bag) and they were limp. My shrimp were small and I assume previously frozen. The batter was so thick and deeply fried, which is not my preference nor does it translate to quality on the North Carolina coast. I might try it again and change my order, but...
It was delicious as always. Dean and the crew even sang Happy Birthday to my daughter while there.I love the new Buffalo chicken wrap.But my favorite is a thick slice bologna samwich . Oh and the Navy bean soup ,wait and the veggie soup and grilled cheese samwich.You get me there.
Great food for a small town! Expected a regular menu but was surprised to find a lot of original and unique choices. Menu items change periodically which I love! Staff are super nice and the prices are very good!
