Great location. Great beer. Loved being able to sit by the river and enjoy the view with a good beer. We will definitely go back.
Fantastic space on the river with good beer and an excellent Filipino BBQ kitchen. I loved everything except the river views, which are minimal due to overgrown brush and sagging tree limbs. The owners might do well to clear and prune, both for the patrons and potential new ones floating down the river who probably can't even see the brewery is there!
Friendly staff and plenty of room to enjoy a beer, cider, soda or other beverages. There is a food truck too.
Great spot
A charming and scenic brewery on the river. They had superb lager selections and other beers for every taste. The staff was kind and hand excellent suggestions.I love that the even had beer on side pour which resulted in excellent flavor and textures of their offerings.
We love Asheville and have been spending time here for decades. Zillicoah is at the top of our list of faves after just one visit.First, the open fermented, farmhouse, styles are so tasty. We loved its location on the river with wide-open seating. It had a wonderful vibe with friendly staff and patrons. It goes without saying the dogs visiting positively added to the chill atmosphere.I had an IPA and Bo Pils during my trip to Zillicoah Beer Co. The IPA was bright and fresh without tasting fruity like almost every IPA in stores. It was super yummy, and at 7%, one was enough for an early-afternoon quaff.I’m not usually a pils guy, but I was looking for a lower-alcohol beer for my second glass. We had come from another brewery and I didn’t want my Sunday afternoon to get away from me. The Bo Pils was splendid. It was bright with a traditional, German, flavor profile. Pröst ?
Great atmosphere and outdoor seating area, very dog friendly. Had a lot of interesting, good beers to enjoy
The ghost of Norman Maclean has a guise that involves flight. It’s wishful thinking on my part but I do hope you see it here. There’s always a dog or two which undoubtedly gives the open fermentation an extra bite.Sometimes it’s as quiet as a secret.I can’t remember the beer names now, I can barely remember my own name, but it was a wonderful spread. The lager beers are super clean. Cleanliness is a nice priority in beer.
Love having 2 food trucks on the weekend. We like having more choices. We can try each one and have yet another fine beer. Only issue was someone was smoking cigarettes outside. Not sure that is allowed but never seem to see that much anymore.
What a beautiful place to drink beer. It was POURING rain but I still thought it was amazing. The sound of the rain on the tin roof almost enhanced my experience. The beers were good, albeit a little disappointing (I was expecting amazing). But I still would consider the beers well above average, the service was great, and the location was awesome. A brewery I would absolutely come back to next time I’m in town

Enjoyable brewery right by the river. Family friendly with live music, corn hole, dogs, free hammock rental, and food trucks. This little place is a hidden gem.
Perfect for dogs, kids, music, riverside, beer, frisbee, Cornhole, and just hanging out with friends
Great outdoor space to enjoy the river, mountain air and craft ales. Bluegrass jam every other Sunday at 4:30 is a blast.
Great atmosphere. Tons of seating inside and outside. French broad runs right by facility and you can sit outside right by it to enjoy its beauty. Dog friendly.Great beers. Had a farmhouse ale that was delicious and the husband had a barley wine that was great.Food truck and snacks offered at bar.Parking is free and right outside building. If you have a lowered vehicle, watch when coming off road down into parking lot. Little rough.
Great selection of terrific beers. Cool space.
