This is the holy grail of beer places in Asheville. Only complaint is that you can't get a sample or flight of their tasty beers. Granted every beer is solid, but for the novice, this can be intimidating. And with that said, this place is really for the true beer lovers. Folks that want something unique but in a traditional way. So no crazy combos with PB&J, overly fruited, etc. The mixed culture beers are really interesting if you want funky combos. But solid across the board. Outside there was lots of area to sit and some covered tables as well. Dog friendly - parking and driveway is a bit tricky, especially if you are coming in on a motorcycle.

Great brewery. Good selection of beers both theirs and other local brews in cans or bottles. Plenty of seating inside and out. Have outdoor tables for eating, chilling, playing outside with dogs (can't take indoors), fire pit when cold, hammocks during warmer weather, and an onsite taco truck that sells probably the best damn tacos in town.

Another awesome go-to brewery in AVL. Wide range of beer choices, non beer items and N/A selections available. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating, great for leashed dogs and kids of all ages. Food truck is one of the best authentic taco trucks in town. Events all thru out the year, great space on the river in the warmer months

Zillicoah will always be one of my favorite breweries in Asheville. From the time they opened they cared about one thing, making deliciously fresh craft beers and they've stuck true to that! Their menu is super diverse and includes a ton of options but I always gravitate towards any IPA that they carry. One bonus is that Taqueria Munoz has a permanent food truck on property so you can look at beautiful river views, drink a delicious beer and consume homemade tacos with the BEST tortillas!

Greet beer and amazing view by the river. Also very good tacos from te food truck nearby. Must visit! Smoked Helles is one to try: a lot of flavour and low in alcohol (perfect when you're driving).

Cool pace if you don't have kids! They also check your ID at upon parking. Not a big indoor space so plan to visit on a nice day. Fire pit, hammock, and picnic tables along the River. Great view. Not a great variety of IPAs.

Just had a couple beers with the wife one cool weeknight on the way home from Asheville. Enjoyed the warmth of the firepit outside.

The food truck is a must here !! Fresh and delicious. Try it out. Lots of open area to hang out for all age groups but no kids except on Sundays.

Hmm, they have good beer but they don't let any kids in (maybe on sundays) but not any other day. We had a one month old with us and they turned us down at the gate. The receptionist with the Dolly Parton shirt was rude and cold. I won't be back.
Such a great, wide open, chill brewery. The outdoor area is HUGE. Would be a great spot to meet a group.Great spot to chill right on the river. The beer is excellent. There is also a food truck on site serving tacos and other Mexican cuisine. Will definitely be back.

Best brewery in town, hands down. Some of the best, crisp lagers I’ve had. I’ve seen a handful of reviews complaining about a lack of samples or flights, but in my opinion, this brewery has the right idea. They sell $3 half pours, which could serve as your “sample.” After all, we can’t sample our food at restaurants before we order, can we? If you know you like crisp, delicious, easy to drink lagers, there’s no need for a sample. Good beer is good beer. I appreciate the fact that Zillicoah values a customer who knows what they like and knows what they want. Will definitely be back!

Limited variety of beer, and no options for tatses or flights. Beautiful site with river side views.

Just a couple miles north of town, this is one of the more chill and laidback taproom locations I’ve visited so far. Indoor/outdoor seating and picnic benches along the river are well spread out.I was drawn to visit by the beer list - a variety of Euro-style lagers and mixed fermentation offerings. No sampling (the way it should be) but half pours are available. We had the Smoked Helles and the Kellerpils. Really appreciated the quality and selection of styles available.

Ordered the Smoked Maibock and it was phenomenal. Probably my favorite beer that I've had here in Asheville. The bartender was super nice and the atmosphere is probably one of my favorites out of all of the breweries. The only downfall is that families can only come on Sunday.
