8 Best Hot Dogs near Wrightsville Beach

“I’ve been dying to try this local hotdog stand ever since I’ve first came to Wrightsville Beach! The atmosphere definitely reminded me of a great Chicago hotdog stand… Even if the Vienna beef is nowhere to be had, I enjoyed the recommendations from Jackson. I have both the Polish and the traditional trolley dog. Both hit the spot along with the fountain Coke. It didn’t hurt that. It was a beautiful day to have the dogs out on the beach and parking is free in November. Service from Jackson was excellent. We’ll definitely be back.“

“This is my new go to for chili slaw dogs. I have been looking for a good one for sometime. Ive been craving one my whole pregnancy. It's been about 9 months and today I finally found it. They also have awesome fries and sweet tea. The lady behind the counter is super sweet. Major plus that they have a drive thru. The dining area is very clean, so are the restrooms. My husband and I will definitely be back soon.
Update: my husband and I have been here now a hand full of times. It is still awesome with awesome service. We always end up in conversation with the lady behind the counter. They have the best chili slaw dogs, fries and tea around. Everything is seasoned perfect and the perfect temperature. You can't bet. The prices either!“

“My pup Milo has been coming to the Dog House for almost 2 years. Gabi and her crew are extremely knowledgeable and professional and Milo loves every minute he spends there. He is a small guy and has been intimidated by bigger dogs at the dog park, but this is his safe and happy place.“

“Great BBQ! The brisket was moist, great flavor , bark was great, smoke ring, all that. Felt like I was back in Texas! The pulled pork was great Eastern NC pulled pork. Buffalo Chips and hush puppies are nice side options. 5 stars! Will be back.“

“The family stopped at Cookout, after being at the beach All day.. We had to place two separate Orders, and all Six of Us, were Absolutely FAMISHED.. Its kinda hectic trying to get all Six of our oders, but *The Cashier* taking our oders was very very patient and so sweet and kind!! He never once caught a Attitude with us.. He was Very Helpful and Understanding, SO Professional and Absolutely Knowledgeable of his JOB!!!! If this Guy isn't a Supervisor or Manager yet, Whats the hold up?? “Food is awesome. Love their milkshakes too. I just left 11/16/25 manager was working both windows and killing it. Food was on point and order was made correctly. I didn't catch his name but he deserves some props. They weren't even backed up. We passed the Cookout/taco roos location bc the line was almost into college road.“
