“Pulling up to a barbecue restaurant that was in a strip mall we were a little skeptical but let me be the first to say this was absolutely wonderful smoked meat. The barbecue was tender and moist as was the brisket. The tenders were okay but not as good as the rest. The homemade chips were delicious as were all the sides! This is one of the restaurants where you can tell the owner cares about his food and it truly shows. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the service quick. Highly recommend!“
“Some of the best hotdogs I've found! The chili was delicious. My boyfriend, who only favors red dogs, even loved them. Inside was very clean, service was quick and friendly. The price was very reasonable. We will come again next time we're in town!“
“A lot of times nowadays, hitting a fast food restaurant that isn't one of your normal or familiar spots is iffy at best. My family and I were pleasantly surprised with how friendly the staff was, how clean the inside was, the speed of service and food delivery and the quality of what we ordered! The person taking out order was patient and engaging with our children, which is always nice to see. Gave them recommendations and was genuinely trying to make their day better. You love to see it. Next time we're in the area, we'll stop in for sure!“
“Stopped here for the first time ever at the urging of a coworker that was riding with me. The hot dogs all the way with slaw were excellent. I've driven by here many times over the years but never noticed it until my coworker told me to pull in. Quick service and great tasting hot dogs and fries for the money.“
“Overall good Philly - it's been around 44 years so they are doing something right. Personally I prefer my cheese on top of my philly so that it seems all down in the meat, these come with the cheese on the bottom. This location you can call in an order and pick up at a drive through which is nice! They also have a coupon in the attractions book to save up to $6 and who doesn't need to save these days :)“
“Best hot dogs ever!!! Must stop here when in town!! ? it’s sad but this location is no longer operating as a “Grill”, it changed to just catering December 23, 2023. Hopefully they will open more locations or put food trucks around Wilmington. Traffic is so ridiculous now, makes it hard to hit up the OG location in Wrightsville!! Will miss having this treasure 5 miles away ❤️ good luck“
“Classic downtown, counter service hotdog joint. Wide variety of dogs from traditional to exotic. Great steamed buns, fast service, nice people. My chilli, slaw, and mustard dog was good. Not the absolute best hotdog I've ever had, but entirely respectable, especially the bun.Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian hotdog.Parking: It's downtown, so be prepared to search for parking. It's also an easy walk from the local hotels.“
