Whether you need a place to dig up the latest gossip from the lobbyist crowd, rub shoulders with elected officials or simply in need of a cup of Knoephla on a cold winter’s day, the Capitol Cafe has you covered. The grill used to serve “off menu” breakfast sandwiches and rumor is if you know the right code word, you too can land yourself one.

The cafe here is merely okay. The thing it has going for it is in the winter. The capitol and the DOT buildings are connected by tunnel so it is a place to get lunch and not go outside at all. That's a big plus.

I was at the Capitol for lunch today, it was great. Pizza was only $2.60 a slice and it was loaded with cheese and toppings. They have a sandwich station, and grill where you can order food made to order. Quick, convenient, and good food to boot. Not to mention the staff that was so friendly.

Everything is overpriced to make up for the renovations. They weigh everything from salads to pizza to charge more. It's just... not worth it. The only reason most of us go there is because it's in the capitol building and we can't get out to our cars, out to lunch, back to park and back inside within the hour.... espeically during legislation when parking is a nightmare.
