The food was so good. Just like a big family Sunday dinner of the past. Roast beef was tender and gravy with real mashed potatoes well seasoned. The green beans reminded me how good real food can be. Turkey with stuffing was great. Finished with apple pie ala mode. Consider yourself lucky if you drop by and get a real homemade meal here.
Small town diner, so come not expecting anything, but just to enjoy whatever happens. Thinking turnover is high, food and service second rate, atmosphere whatever is there. We have come here many times over the years, and not sure I have ever seen a face twice. I ordered a large taco pizza for take out. It cost $30. You would think for $30, you would get a decent pizza. Well, that didn't happen. There was 3 inches all the way around the pizza with little to no toppings and the rest of the pizza had very little meat and almost no cheese. I had to add my own cheese. Same thing happened to a relative a few months ago when they ordered a different kind of pizza from Thompsons. I would suggest that if you are in Cavalier and want...
