A great little place to stop for breakfast! My son and I came by in the evening for a very late breakfast, and enjoyed our meal. It's a small-town cafe with that small town ND feel that you just can't get anywhere else.
This cafe puts out good home cooked meals. Perhaps even more important is the friendliness of the people. That, to me, can make all the difference between a good experience and a bad experience. If you are looking for fine dining or large/ varied selections, this is not the place. But if you are looking for down home cooking and friendly chats, by all means stop at the Dawson Cafe when in the area
Stopped by the Dawson Cafe on a Friday morning. If you are driving through Dawson, you will probably miss it. It's on the side street behind the grocery store. But you must stop if you want a good home made breakfast. This is one of those local hometown cafes where all the locals go for breakfast. It was filled with local (mostly seniors) who were more than happy to help us find a seat and to make sure our coffee cups were filled. The food was good home town cooking with huge...read full review
