“This is a pretty good place to go with a good hometown feel. The food is good, especially breakfast items. Dinner items are fair,. Some items are prepackaged. The salad bar is well stocked and attended regularly to refill items getting low. Most recently tried the chicken fried steak pictured below. Cream gravy is very good and well peppered. Mashed potatoes are made in-house with those yummy lumps of potato in there! The roll...eh. Go with King Hawaiian rolls. Overall, it's my go-to place in Devils Lake!”

Even crazy busy nights (most nights we’ve been there) the food is perfect, the timing is perfect, and the staff are flawless. The steak tips appetizer is our favorite, and most people’s favorite, but they sell out quickly. 100/100!”

“This place is exactly what a North Dakota family restaurant should be... huge portions of homemade food... dinners served with soup and salad and bread. Coffee carafe and water jug on the table. They've done it right here! We just came back from a vacation out of state and this was the perfect welcome home. We will definitely come back when we're through Devil's Lake.”

“The MSC is a great place to have available for the Soldiers, retirees and even guests. It has been many years since I've been there. Rainy and her staff are so friendly and courteous to everyone. The cocktails are fairly priced, however the food was a bit pricey. Thanks Rainy for keeping the MSC up and running.”

“We got lucky to have a sunny day! This Devil’s Lake ND restaurant is part of a resort, which means the attached beach is also very nice! There are fire pits to lounge and watch the water… An overall lovely place to have lunch.”
