Loved the crab cake appetizer. Delicious and soft. I wished I had ordered two and not just the one

The fish batter was just right. Not too crunchy or salty. I tried their fried Thai pineapple rice for the first time and it did not disappoint.

The only negative I would say is their coleslaw. At least to me, it was bland.
You have to walk down the alley to find the restaurant but it is a hidden gem in Fargo. I will visit again.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. The ridiculous response they posted to my initial review is worthy of me replying. The Manager was unprofessional and passive aggressive. Generally speaking when a restaurant provides bad food or service they accommodate the customer, not at beer and fish. Again if you value good food and service don’t go to this restaurant. We have been to beer and fish every time we come into town to visit family. Today was the worse experience. My husband ordered the Tiger Citrus salad, it was served with an excessive amount of wilted lettuce. He was picking it out and putting it on a dish. We notified the manager who offered to prepare another salad, since my husband had eaten half he didn’t want to start over. I asked the manager if he could take a few dollars off and he said yes. We get the bill he had taken exactly one dollar off and then we were over charged for wine the server told us they had on tap which meant it qualified for the happy hour price. So I asked to speak with the manager. He comes over annoyed and clearly bothered that we wanted to speak with him. He angrily told us he wasn’t given us more than one dollar off because “he ate the salad and there was only three pieces of wilted lettuce”. There was a lot more than three pieces of wilted lettuce, however I couldn’t believe he was taken this stance and attempting to argue with me over two dollars. The customer service got even worse when I told him we were over charged for the wine. He proceeds to show me a menu with the price of the wine and I explained that the server told us that the wine was on tap and qualified for the happy hour price. His response was well he’s new the price is on the menu. My response was the server went and verified that the wine was on tap at the bar returned and confirmed it with us which is when we ordered the wine . He conceded and reimbursed us for the wine. I can’t get pass his poor attitude and customer service. If you value good customer service and appreciate being treated respectfully when spending your hard earned money don’t go to beer and fish.

Got the #5 (one piece of cod and 3 pieces of walleye) as well as calamari for appetizer. Husband got the lobster roll and everything was delicious. Our waitress (Lila I think it was) was courteous and attentive.

This was an excellent establishment. The servers were all friendly, and did an excellent job of keeping both our waters and bread full. The food was absolutely amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever had a fish sandwich so flavorful. The breading was crisp and on top of one of the best buns I’ve ever had. The clam chowder was creamy, and had real clam. Overall the food was excellent. My only complaint was that the restaurant was kind of difficult to find, but other than that I have nothing bad to say about beer & fish company. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing seafood in the Fargo area.

We were only in Fargo for one night, and two different people suggested this place. A small group of people were coming out with to go bags so I figured the food was good, but asked anyway. They said it was VERY good and told us we MUST order the wild rice stuffed mushrooms with cheese sauce. Glad we took their advice. Also, our waiter Joey was great! Super friendly and attentive. He suggested an incredible dessert that was different. Kind of an upside down pineapple cake With strawberries, whipped cream, and some kind of toasted nuts. Ice cream on the side. Do not pass that up either!

I had a hunger for some fish and drove to Fargo to find some. A very nice menu and lots of fish or seafood to pick from. I settled on the cod and went with the lobster bisque. WOW, the bisque was flavorable, thick, and loaded with lobster. The cod was lightly breaded and juicy. The cole slaw with cucumber was a big surprise. The lobster roll and clam chowder was another hit. I don't care for clam chowder, but this one was pretty tasty. The lobster roll was packed with lobster and the hint of drawn butter made it even better. The service was outstanding. Lots of smiles and they checked on us when needed. It was my first time here, but it won't be my last. We needed a place like this in Grand Forks.

I’m from Sacramento, CA, and this is one of the best places I’ve ever eaten seafood. Everything is awesome! I’m walking across the USA and I ate here on Sept 19, 2024, when I finished my walk from Milwaukee to Fargo. I had to come back this year w my brother! It was awesome! Everything about it is fantastic. The seafood, the service, the atmosphere, the customers, etc. I highly recommend it. This is the best of Fargo!
