The $18 pizza was good, but I expected slightly more toppings. It was probably ten thin slices of pear, and no more than 1/3 cup of sausage. It was rather dry. The previous time I ate this pizza, I remember it being better.
The$12 wedge salad was great as always. I'm guessing the profit margin is pretty slim on the salad because it came with a ton of toppings. Perhaps too much even, and I like a heavily dressed salad.
The ingredients are of high quality and the food is very tasty.
I get that the economy sucks right now. But man, I expected at least full meat meatballs...that's why I ordered them. For meat.

My favorite place to eat in Fargo! Everything here is delicious, even the seemingly strange combinations. We always split the chopped salad and get a pizza, and it’s perfect for a dinner date.

Super fun place and great, unique pizza! The BLT was my favorite but we tried a couple other fun ones on the menu too. Went with a group of 6 people and we got 4 pizzas..devoured it all...so good! 10/10 It felt geared more towards adults and there is not a huge amount of seating so you may have to wait for a table at busy times. My husband is dairy free and was able to enjoy the BLT pizza so that was great.

Simplicity is welcomed!! The menu totes the story of this Family owned business and the simple ingredients with gourmet flair! Flavorful pizza combinations enhanced by the woodfired oven, subtle smokiness without overpowering delicate flavors!! Decor was charmingly dark without being crass. Blackbird staff were very receptive and responsive, checking in on our table. Pizza throwing is a dying art, but not at Blackbird Woodfired Pizza. The longevity of the staff members makes for a close-knit bond, each with their specific jobs, but working as a team!! Great job to the staff!! " Even the staff have to eat! " ?

Came here for dinner while in North Dakota on a business trip. I was swayed by the Google reviews about the pizza but am writing my own review for the ambiance and excellent service, too.
I walked in and was greeted promptly and with a smile. My waitress was helpful, informative, and happy. Honestly, everyone who had walked by me and works here has a smile on their face - one server complimented another server loudly. You can tell they enjoy being here.
I loved the little touches - the decorations are understated but detailed. There are little blackbirds on the lamps and secret notes tucked into the brick wall holes. It’s really cute.
Last, but certainly not least, I had the special this evening which was called Date with A Goat - oh my goodness the flavor combo is incredible. Olive oil, goat cheese, figs, honey, red onion, pecans, bacon? Part of me is writing this review just so I have a permanent reference for this flavor combo. It’s SO good.
When I come back to North Dakota I’ll be coming here again. What a gem of a place.
Dietary restrictions: I didn’t have any dietary restrictions in my order but I was in earshot of the kitchen assemblers be crystal clear about not cross-contaminating.

This was by far the best pizza I've ever had. The server was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and friendly, even when the restaurant was full. The pizza was delicious, with the best dough I've ever tasted and great toppings. The service couldn't have been better. Highly recommended!
