Cars outside are for sale so don’t be fooled into thinking they are customers.’ Food is way way way overpriced for what you get in portion and taste. No sauces to go with. Owner was rude until I ordered $90 of food. Bar area was sticky and just not worth the time and money.

Sambusa was good. But no dipping sauces.

Went with my family and the experience wasn't good at all. We were forced to buy what was available. My family couldn't eat the food after using $65. They have beautiful pictures of foods that don't depict what you are served. We left the food in there and went home. We didn't waste our time any longer. I felt very bad for my family because I was going to make them try something new.

You would want to stop by for a good plate at the restaurant, good music at the club and "big wins" on the slot machines

Locals of Fargo may know this building to have a storied past...DO NOT HOLD THAT AGAINST IT!!
Completely new ownership and what I feel is a stark turn around from the last few years.
There is still the bar side, but the food is what you need. My wife and I got chicken and lamb respectively, with two kinds of rice and asalad with a side order of hummus.
Everything was STELLAR!!! SO flavorful and comforting. The chicken and lamb rocked, the rices were very different in flavor from each other, and the hummus was fantastic as well.
Heba was very kind and helpful when I realized I didn't have my card, and it's even good later! We both had to eat twice since the portions were very generous.
Don't be deterred by the exterior or walking into the club, trust in the food and your stomach and mouth will thank you.
As an aside, I'm a 17 year chef, I know food pretty well. There's is very good.
Also, pretty much everything upsets my stomach these days and nothing did tonight! It was great!

Wheelchair accessibility: It's all ground level with handicap parking.

The food we got looked nothing like the other pictures posted. There was a booth sitting on top of another booth, this place was awful

I recently visited Cairo Restaurant and Bar with my family; unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. We arrived around 7-8:30 PM on a weekday and were surprised to find the restaurant empty. Despite the lack of customers, the floors were extremely sticky and dirty, giving the place an unclean and unwelcoming atmosphere.

The open kitchen setup might have been a good idea, but it didn’t contribute positively to our dining experience. We ordered chicken shawarma and kunafa. I’m not sure if it’s their take on the Egyptian style, but the kunafa was made with semolina instead of cream or shredded phyllo dough., resulting in an unappealing taste.

The chicken shawarma platter, priced at $17.99, was quite disappointing. The plate was filled mostly with rice, salad, and a very small portion of chicken. It was clear that the portion sizes were not balanced.

We also tried the beef sambossa, which we wouldn’t recommend. It had a very strong smell and tasted quite off. There were no noticeable spices or garlic, leaving only a hardy meat smell that was quite unpleasant.

Overall, the food was not up to our expectations, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was a major concern. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Cairo Restaurant and Bar.

Went in to eat a we were really wanting gyros, and all their food pictures looked really good. The door was open, but the lights were off, and there was no one around. We even walked over to the kitchen window and let ourselves be known, but no answer. It was very disappointing and explains why I never saw any cars parked in the customer lot.

Came here at 11:00 AM on a Tuesday and the place was locked up, nobody there. If you're gonna tell people you're open at 11, then be open at 11.

The Cairo Cafe has some of the tastiest African food I've ever had. Takes a little longer than normal to get it, BUT! Is so delicious it's absolutely worth the wait! Can't wait to go back ❤️❤️❤️

My experience with Cairo Restaurant has been outstanding. I don't usually write reviews, but this place is deserving. They are a solid 10/10. The beef shawarma and the 4pc meat sambosas were exceptional. As someone working the overnight shift, I truly appreciate their late hours, it's a rare and welcome convenience.
