This was our second year hosting a DU banquet at CJ’s Tavern, and once again it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The banquet room is ideal for our Sportsman-style events—very spacious, well laid out, and perfect for large groups, and raffles without ever feeling cramped. It really allows the event to flow smoothly and keeps everyone comfortable. Working with Joel was a huge part of why everything went so well. From the initial planning stages all the way through the night of the event, he was professional, responsive, and genuinely easy to work with. He made sure every detail was covered and was always available to answer questions or make adjustments, which took a lot of stress off our plate. The food was great—hot, well-prepared, and exactly what you want for a banquet setting. (We did the taco bar) Our guests had nothing but positive things to say. Overall, CJ’s Tavern delivers a top-tier banquet experience with a great setup, great food, and great people. We’ll absolutely continue using this space and highly recommend it to anyone looking to host a Sportsman banquet or large event.

Very disappointed in the services. Ordered the Quesadilla, it did not come with the salsa or sour cream. Which is not a big deal. When we kindly asked for it we were lectured that they do not bring it out unless it is asked for as or often gets thrown away. Again not a big deal at all, we had assumed it had just been missed, but his lecturing and tone of voice was extremely very rude, the menu states it is served with those items.
We were also charged for items we did not receive. They were a very small fee and not worth dealing with the angry server to have it correct.
The food was ok. Probably wouldn’t go back.

The food was great but the service was terrible. We went in for lunch and it felt like we were being ignored because we were a small table and there were large groups. We also ended up having water as we didn't like the pop selection and the rest of the tables were drinking alcohol. Just kinda felt we were not wanted.

We were very pleased with CJ‘s Tavern for a rehearsal dinner venue. Jordan, the owner, and Joel, the manager, were easy to work with and helped to make our event memorable. The chicken Alfredo was a great menu choice for our guests, but we were also able to order off the menu for guests who had dietary restrictions. We appreciated being able to bring in our own desserts!!

We had the best time celebrating a military retirement party/ bday party! The space was beautiful, Joel was so helpful in setting up, checking on us and getting us random odds and ends that we needed. They were so flexible with the space and how we wanted to transform it. Dakota was the best bar tender and got us everything we needed. We can't say enough great things about our experience. Highly recommend!!

Finally made it to CJs and upset it took us so long to get there. We drive by the signs all the time, but always forgot about it when talking about places to eat. Not any more! Food was delicious and our server was amazing. Look forward to our next visit!
We’ve enjoyed several dinners and family gatherings here, and every visit has been a great experience. Booking a spot for our large family is always quick and easy, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. The food is absolutely delicious, the drinks are always cold and the scenery is beautiful with plenty of open space. Management goes out of their way to check in, which makes us feel truly valued as guests. We’re thrilled to have another fantastic restaurant in Rose Creek and hope it’s here for many years to come. Keep up the amazing work!

Feisty Eats
We are from out of town & choose CJs Tavern to meet up with friends on a week night. Everything was absolutely 5 stars. We had a blast - our server, Maggie, was so wonderful! On top of things, funny, & sweet. We never waited for anything & her bar staff supporting her was also great. The bar is big, open, & clean. It was wing Wednesday & the bone in wings were huge, cooked to perfection 👌. I would come back anytime. Thank you, Maggie for making our night & accommodating our large group. Well done!

Awesome hidden gem that opened in Feb this year. had most of their apps 1/2 off special. Kid friendly till 10. Very modern Charge ports under the par and lots of TV'S for the games. Highly recommended.
