The food was ready entirely too quickly; not made to order. The carne asada was not made with skirt or flank steak, so it was not fatty—quite dry, tbh. Salsa was fine, nothing to write home about. Tortilla chips were good. Portions are reasonable; don't expect to take anything home, but you'll be full. I suppose one could say it all felt a bit soulless. Like, it's just not the kind of fatty, decadent meal you expect from a full service restaurant. I'm not there to count calories—I want every bite loaded with flavor and this just was not it.The drinks, though, are very good. They cost about as much as an entrée, so I'm joy sure if they're worth it. Still really good, though. If you like mezcal and tequila, this is absolutely the place to go.Service was really fast and courteous, so five stars all around to the bartenders and servers; they were all excellent.Atmosphere is like a bar, but it's decorated like a restaurant, so it's a bit confusing. Not a place for first dates, if that makes sense.

Amazing atmosphere and superior service. Les sthan 19 minute wait time to be seated on a busy Saturday night. Waiters were very cordial, attentive and quick.Free chips and salsa.Margarita was excellent.They do offer to make fresh guacamole dip at your table for $10 but we declined.Food was HOT from the grill and very good presentation.Not a fan of the enchilada sauce but fajitas were delicious. And plenty of food!Will definitely be returning!!

The server was constantly asking if we were ready to order and we were clearly visiting. Had to ask questions on menu items as they weren't clear on some inclusions. The made to order guacamole was so yummy! Nice inside remodel but loud music.

I had the enchiladas and my partner had the fajitas. Both dishes were amazing! We also had the fresh guacamole and margaritas that were absolutely wonderful. I definitely recommend!
I ordered the shrimp tacos and my wife got the steak tacos. We both thought they were great. They have a machine that makes fresh flour tortillas and you could really tell when biting into the taco. Classic margarita was gone in no time. Staff is very friendly and service was quick when we went in at lunch time on the weekend.

We dined at El Agave this past weekend and it was phenomenal! We split the Agave burrito with chicken and it was SO delicious. Great depth of flavor without relying on copious sauce as a crutch. Definitely our new go to Mexican place in town.
