First time visiting Mezzaluna, and already the knowledge and friendliness of my waitress feels welcoming and doesn't make me feel out of place. Although the space itself seems small, the ambience and the decor itself shines, giving a cozy feel. I ordered the prix fixe menu starting off with the beef tartare, it was uniquely strange but tasted great. The next item was a chicken skewer with a very flavorful cornbread, again, both were great. Someone then came out with a pallette...
I don't think it's possible to make a better impression than Mezzaluna did. Helpful advice on what to order, short yet pleasant conversations, fast cocktails that were shockingly tasty, and entrees that were gorgeous and had impressive depth of flavor. I'm absolutely returning here next time I celebrate significant event.
Delicious food served in a very standard American ambiance. My old fashioned was great and the wagyu steak was flavorful and cooked perfectly.
