We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and experience at the Sons of Norway Lodge. We went on a Thursday, which was also pie day. My husband had the turkey dinner lunch special, and I had the Norsk Grilled Cheese and Fried Klubb. We both had pie, of course! We were both pleased with our meals. The place was quite busy, but we had no trouble finding a place to sit after ordering our lunch. As my husband is of Norwegian descent, it was fun to look at the decor.
We parked on a side street, but the Sons has its own parking lot directly across from the front entrance as well. Note that from the Lodge, you can easily walk downtown to see the Fargo murals.

Such a sweet place. Home cooked food, it was like being at Grandma's house.
I go on Thursday for pie day. It's the best. Their rommegrot
pie is to die for. Check this place out for lunch.
Enchanting place with a lot to offer. We had a most delicious lunch with desert in their cozy, fireplace lit restaurant before we went to the Troll Lounge and enjoyed some live music. Afterwards one of them showed us the library where we saw a wonderful collection of books and artifacts. This place is a treasure!
Great environment, the staff were very attentive and conversational. The food was great and it was for a very reasonable price!
😀Brought my 5 year old grandson and he LOVED the entire experience and really enjoyed the waffles
Very nice though the portions were a little small for the dinner.
The Sons of Norway is an absolute gem of Fargo, open to everybody, members and non-members (membership is only $5/month to support the club). From their tasty lunches consisting of hearty food and homemade pies made by passionate volunteers to the unique events and live music in the one-of-a-kind Troll Lounge, the Sons of Norway is a local staple for tasty food, classic drinks, charming events, and historical heritage that locals and travelers alike definitely need to check out. Don't forget to sign the guest book and take a picture with the trolls!

Terrible. You know if you're advertising homemade pie & you run out early every day. Duh, make more pie. Otherwise food was not very good & service was surly. Best thing was the diet coke.

I had an excellent time being able l e to listen to a local band in a much more personal experience, which is unique to The Troll Lounge. It is a relaxed atmosphere with people from all people (over 21 of course). Only one bartender working his butt off and a small stage that was alive with some country music with a fiddle as well!! LOVED IT!!

Loved our quick lunch here! Comfort Scandinavian food in a throwback supper club environment. Very neat place. And such nice volunteers serving the meals. And people at neighboring tables introducing themselves. Even bought a tub of Norwegian romegrot to-go. And peaked into the library and grill carving rooms.

Can’t go wrong on Pie Day! Had a delicious tuna melt and rømmegrøt pie with a bottomless cup of coffee. Cuz ya gotta have coffee with pie! The staff is great, the food is amazing, the price is right, and you might learn some words in Norwegian. Tusen takk!
