A bunch of the family met up at Bison Turf before going to the NDSU men’s basketball game tonight. There were not many people here before the game, but the NDSU football team did play earlier today. There were plenty of seating options for groups of people to sit in the front and the back. TV’s surround the place and they all had college football games on them. There were dart boards, a pool table, and I was told a large area on the roof (never made it up there on this December day) for people to sit and get their drink on. The beer selection on-tap was a little limited compared to other places I have been recently, but they had a beer I wanted. The staff was attentive and helpful. The music was a bit loud. I’ve never enjoyed shouting into someone’s face when they were sitting next to me so that they could hear me, and of course, them shouting back into my face so I could hear them. I would like to try Bison Turf again for sure. Maybe a good time would be when the weather is nicer and I could also check out the roof! Cheer to North Dakota!

Nice serving staff, it was pretty busy when we stopped in for beers. But we were waited on sometimes it took a while but we did get served.

We had to stop in for a walk down memory lane. We were here 30 yrs again while attending NDSU. Of course, we had burgers and local brew. Still good. All the marked up tables are still there, now coated in a finish to preserve them in time. It’s still the local bar I’d visit regularly if I were still here.

I have been in Fargo almost a year and this is my favorite place. The staff has my order memorized and they are always nice and friendly. The beer selection is good and thank goodness they have decent beer to go. Highly recommend.

Food is nothing special. Burgers are the best thing on the menu and pretty good. Chili is good. They serve beer there. Popular with the college crowd as it is located right next to the campus.

out for a beer and dinner on a Tuesday night . went out to second floor balcony - nice tables/chairs and unbrellas for some. sat down and server was there within 10 minutes- asked what beer they had on tap or a menu- something to guide us for 1st timers at the turf in a few years. no list- basicly said if you want to know what we have on tap you need to go inside and look - beer came- was good after another 20 minutes we flagged her down for menus - after another 10 minutes we went inside to order burgers. food came quickly- but nothing special- fair at best apparently they were short staffed - one person running the entire second floor? so we understood being slow- maybe an explaination and less attitude would have resulted in a better outcome. maybe the turf isnt interested in the summer crowd

Amazing place for students. When going to NDSU this can be the only caffeine you need. They are friendly, as well as fast. The variety that you have is one of the best I have seen among cafeteria style soffe shops.
