The cook is extremely handsome! However, I did not appreciate the extremely prolonged wait time. Customer service was not provided. A dine in turned into a takeout. 🙃

It’s beyond me how this place has 4.9 stars. Here’s why it’s actually a 1-star joint:

1.They are cash only in the restaurant.

2. The music is absolutely blaring, not pleasant
background music you enjoy during your meal.

3. Be prepared to wait. After ordering, the chef advised it would be a 30–40 minute wait. I thought that was reasonable - even though the restaurant was completely empty - so I left and came back after 30 minutes. No food. Finally, after another 30 minutes, he poked his head out the kitchen window and said it was almost done, that it would be another 15 minutes. After yet another 30 minutes, I was just about to leave and he finally gave me my meal. No explanation. No offer to make it right.

And to top it all off, I got a dirty plastic fork and napkin with my food…all after waiting 1 1/2 hours for a “30–40 minute wait” in an empty restaurant. Wish I could get my money back.

I ordered the oxtail with pasta(actually rice) and shrimp and pasta entrees; both dishes were flavorful and delicious. I had never tried oxtail before and wow they were scrumptious, will definitely be going back. Have my eye on some of the other menu items but portions are generous so a second trip is necessary. Thank you for bringing your cultures flavors to the FM area!!

Jerk chicken pasta with candied yams and cabbage. This dish was excellent. Portions were more than enough to get my stomach off my back. I can honestly say, I will definitely be patronizing this restaurant anytime I am in Fargo.

In town for business and DoorDash ordered chicken curry and oxtail plates. OMG!!!!! They were super delicious!!!! I'm definitely going to order again from this restaurant.

I’m addicted to this place, omg the best jerk chicken I’ve ever had. Fargo is so lucky to have tropical spice!!!!

We have ordered from Tropical Spice several times the food was ok,but the last time we ordered we could NOT eat our meals (Curry chicken and Jerk chicken) because there was sharp bone shards in the entire meal from the way they chopped the chicken parts into pieces.

Lamar put me on jerk chicken, oxtail, Mac, and candy jams. When I say I was left SPEECHLESS! It was like Jesus himself had come down and kissed me on the lips. I transcended into a holy plane with only a few bites. Not one thing on this plate didn’t have me dancing. If you want the best in town you found it. Never had nothing better than this.
