Good pricing and staff was friendly. The grinder was very bland and soggy. The food was served on a soggy paper plate and the seating area was not clean. The late hours are convenient.
Red Pepper is a local favorite, but to people not from Grand Forks you might not understand the hype. The price is great, but all the food tastes the same and is microwaved in minutes right before your eyes. Definitely not gourmet, but is edible. The bathroom was super questionable and unclean.
I've spent the last 7 years working outside the US. There is no other place in Grand Forks that tastes like home quite like Red Pepper.
If you want to understand small town comfort food and hospitality, a staple of college life, or just enjoy good food at a great price, this is the spot.
