This used to be our go-to place for drinks and dinner. In the past few months, customer service has taken a huge dive. Servers spend more time visiting with the bartender and on their phones than checking on customers. The new menu is a nice change, and the food quality is excellent. The beer selection has been very spotty; they got rid of a set of taps and have said they will not be replaced, and traditional summer beers like Summer Shandy and Mango Cart will not be carried. During the last visit, their taps were not working at all, and bottled beer was the only option. I hope they decide to invest in some server training, fix up their beer selection, and get back to the great neighborhood bar it used to be.

Great service and wonderful food

Food is great. Burger was awesome and they had some pretty fun trivia set up where you could win gift cards if you were into that on the day that we went. It's a pretty good sized area for a big group if needed and it held our large group that was probably about 20 people.

Came to Southgate for the first time. Looked like a pretty decent place. We walked up to the bar to order a drink. The bartender served another customer looked down at the end of the bar where we stood and turned away. 2 other girls who I am assuming we're bartending as well stood at the other end of the bar talking to each other then walked away. The guy bartender walked down to the end of the bar where we sat waiting, looked everywhere but at us. We had to get his attention for him to grab us a drink. BTW he wasn't serving another customer. I went to go try the gaming machines, I sat down at a machine. One of the girls working came around to all 4 machines where I sat and asked everyone if they needed a drink. Proceeded to get them drinks and walked right past me. I played some more and not once was asked if I needed a drink. I had to walk up to the bar and the girl that previously walked right by me asked if I needed anything. I understand they do get extremely busy but when you get blatantly ignored by multiple workers it makes a person not want to come back.

Tuesday Trivia and half price apps are a must. Fun staff and if you can make it for a lunch pasta special, you won't regret it.
