On the recommendation of a coworker, we gave Hunter’s Cafe a try. Located inside an old downtown storefront, the initial impression does not scream “fine dining,” but it is inviting and pleasant. We ordered the patty melt and the turkey Reuben with an order of sweet potato fries. The patty melt was hot but a bit over-cooked. The grilled onions helped compensate for the meat. Had a great meal and very inexpensive. Wife had shrimp tacos that were very fresh. Son had Chicken Alfredo that was very creamy and full of tender chicken. I had a corned beef Rubin that was good. The pickle chips were also good, although I think the batter on them was a bit heavy (tempura batter would have been better). Staff was very friendly and efficient. Drinks never ran empty. Will definitely eat there again.

Fabulous food & service! If they're busy, you may have a bit of a wait, so be prepared & patient, it will be worth it! We love their cheese burgers, chicken salad, fruit salad, cookies, etc. We've enjoyed every meal at this adorable hometown restaurant. Their cookies are great too, the cookies are available at the front counter and we always purchase some to take home!
