“Prairie Sky is truly a gem in the Minot community. The atmosphere of their cafe is wonderful, along with all the delicious breads, drinks, and treats available. Their Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough is delectable, and their scones are amazing, even when they’re a day old. This is one of the few places where I know they’re using real, high quality ingredients in the food I’m served. I would recommend Prairie Sky Breads to anyone in, or visiting Minot.“
“The staff here were so nice and took great care of us! The food was hot and fresh. They accidentally got our order wrong and we had already boarded and they came and found us on the plane! We hadn’t complained and they took the initiative to literally deliver the right sandwich to our seat on the plane! I was blown away! Thank you so much!!! Would recommend!“

“The crepes here are to die for and the caprese lunch sandwich is my favorite. Their coffee is also delicious! Every time I go in, there’s also super fast service even if it’s a little busy and the employees are also super happy and really nice.“

“The afternoon closer is so patient and welcoming, she had so much patients with my 3 young kids, definitely made our day. I would give the Minot location 100 stars if I could! The manager is also amazing, very sweet and always running things smoothly from what I can see. ❤️❤️ love you“

“A childhood favorite. We had friendly service. Food was great as expected. The typical diner - not a lot of fringe dietary options - but a wide range of breakfast and lunch meals to choose from. Breakfast is my jam here, so I can’t speak too much for the other options. Their potato pancakes are delicious.“

“There are dessert shops… and then there are places that feel like they’ve legally weaponized sugar. This establishment falls firmly into the latter category.
Let’s begin with a public service announcement: if you have a complicated relationship with sugar, self-control, or buttons on your pants, you may want to approach with a strategy—or at the very least, a loose waistband. This is not a place you “try.” This is a place you accidentally develop a weekly relationship with. One visit turns into two, two turns into “they know my order,” and suddenly you’re justifying dessert like it’s a necessary life supplement.
The cookies themselves? Enormous. Not “oh that’s a big cookie,” no—these are the kind of cookies that make regular cookies look like they skipped leg day. Each one sits there in the box like it knows exactly what it’s doing to you. Confident. Unbothered. Slightly judging you, but also inviting you closer. Finishing one feels less like eating a dessert and more like completing a personal challenge that no one asked you to attempt—but you’re committed now.
And the flavor rotation? That’s where things get borderline diabolical. Every week, a new lineup appears like a carefully curated trap. Just when you think you’ve built resistance—boom, something new, something bold, something that sounds like it shouldn’t work but absolutely does. It’s the kind of menu that makes you stand there longer than you should, pretending to evaluate, when in reality you’ve already decided you’re getting more than you planned. It’s not variety—it’s strategic temptation.
Now let’s talk about the texture and consistency, because this is where the operation really flexes. These cookies are thick, rich, and engineered with the precision of something that absolutely did not happen by accident. Soft in places, structured in others—like they hired an architect who specializes in emotional damage. Every bite feels intentional. Suspiciously intentional. To the point where you start wondering if there’s a secret ingredient that isn’t listed but is definitely doing some heavy lifting behind the scenes.
Milk—let’s address it—is not a suggestion. It is a requirement. These cookies demand balance, and without some form of liquid backup, you’re essentially going into a heavyweight match untrained. Whether it’s dairy or a substitute, you will need something to keep the experience from escalating into a full-blown “I made a mistake” moment halfway through.
And yet, despite the chaos and sheer indulgence of it all, there is a consistent level of quality that deserves real credit. Every cookie looks like it belongs in a display case. Every box feels like it was packed with purpose. There’s pride here, even if it’s wrapped in a slightly mischievous delivery system.
At the end of the day, this place is not pretending to be healthy, balanced, or even remotely subtle. It knows exactly what it is—and it leans all the way in. It’s indulgent, it’s excessive, it’s a little bit ridiculous… and that’s precisely why it works.
You don’t go here because you need a cookie. You go here because, for a brief moment, you’ve decided that self-control is more of a guideline than a rule—and honestly, that might be the most honest decision you make all week.“
