“10/10 for this elegant spot in Downtown Grand Island. Attention to every detail was paid from the fabulous music, soft lighting, cozy temperature, shiny glassware, cute plates to the calming sunlit dining area. We sat at the comfy bar and sampled the yummy adult drinks, a decadent latte, and eyed the delectable gluten-free goodies but were too full after our incredible lunch to try any sweets. I love that I could order a gluten-free grilled cheese with my home-made tasty tortilla soup and who could forget the incredible famous Dreisbach augratins! I nearly licked my bowl clean. Whether you need a quiet spot to start your morning with a delicious coffee, a sunny place for a perfect lunch or a romantic dinner idea for date night out, the Chocolate Bar quite impressively has something for everyone. Can't wait to return!“

“Just like home, just like family. Came to GI for junk jaunt 3 years ago. We stopped at this cafe, because I like supporting local business's and its fun to meet and talk to the locals. Man... this stop was spot on. Loving folks, owner and staff. PLUS the locals.. we had a ball sitting there visiting with everyone... Solo, I made a trip thru Grand Island at a later date, so made a point to stop in. They remembered me... it had been nearly a year since was there. Guess what... we junk jaunted again this year, stopped in and hugs, caught up on things, like ole home week.. Oh dang, almost forgot ....THE FOOD.... totally perfect....the cook is amazing... and the PIES.... OMG.... out of this world good.... home made with LOVE mixed all over. Of the meals I;ve eaten there.... each one I say is the best, till I have the next one and then its the bestest... MHO: Skip the fast food joints, who don't care who you are... sit down, relax, enjoy the company, eat some wonderful food that is home cooked,made to order..... and actually, easy on the pocket book.... ...Never know who u mite meet, or become friends with while your enjoying a rush free meal.... PS: watch out for the one way streets..... Grand Island is full of them. :-) Just a side note. Carl“

“Great place to eat! Wonderful salad bar, good prime rib, service is fast and friendly and they are not overpriced. We did not try the desserts this time as the meal was plenty, but look forward to going back to try them next time.“
