***Update: This place is nowhere near as good as it used to be, unfortunately. I reduced the score from 5 stars to 3.***
I have ordered General Tso's Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice and Pepper Chicken from this restaurant and I was very happy with all three of them, but especially the General's Chicken. I have been searching for years for a high quality Chinese restaurant, and I have finally found it. The chef used to work over at The House of Hunan and he has perfected his recipes over the last thirty years. Back in the early '90s I used to eat at Hunan Express, on Leavenworth, and House of Hunan, on Center St., and they were some of the best experiences I ever had at Chinese restaurants. Eating at the Golden Bowl is truly a pleasure and it takes me back to those times in my life that I thought were gone forever. Yes, it really is that hard to find high quality Chinese food...really, sadly enough.
Great food. Quick service. Good prices. Love the Peanut Butter and Fire Cracker Chicken.
Great service and great food!
Food was delicious, the Lo mein was absolutely amazing, it honestly has to be the best Lo mein I’ve ever had! I would definitely recommend eating here if you love Chinese food or food in general, and the portions are huge 10/10 would recommend!
I was doing door dash and had to wait 20 mins for a order. As waiting 4 other people come in and picked up there orders
Having nice dinner with my wife until had a couple come in loud and complaining about temperature to cold saying they would leave unless the temperature was raised. Staff raised then the temperature was hot and uncomfortable for myself and my wife. I guess the louder you are the more people try to keep you quiet even at the expense of others

Not what this place was anymore ?
I ordered food yesterday and it was so sad that this place is not what it was back when I wrote the above review. The food was disgusting and the place was empty, no wounder why! Sad that employees don't give their best to keep that place running and keep their job.

This is the only place I’ve found so far to have gluten free AND soy free as an option! They use coconut aminos - you just have to ask for it. I am so thankful to have this option! They are so kind and will do whenever is necessary to make things right for you. Definitely my go to place!
Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free and soy free - ask for coconut aminos instead of soy sauce

Old owners of golden bowl. Some people love it but I think it's very average even as far as americanized Chinese food goes.

Bit of a hidden gem in Bellevue. The menu is your standard American Chinese restaurant but they really shine with their quality and ingredients. We had the dumplings, hot and sour soup, and seafood delight. The dumplings they deep fried so that they were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The hot and sour soup is some of the best I've ever had! Thick, full of ingredients. In the seafood delight, they use full deep sea scallops, not the bay scallops you usually see. The dish was well balanced, they didn't try to fill you up with fried rice, the rice was a side and the seafood delight was the star of the dish. Fairly plane looking inside and out, so you're really going to go for the food and you might not assume it would be as good as it is just from a look at the building. Worth the trip. I'm going to have cravings for that hot and sour soup!

Their food is great! While they may have changed the cut of meat, the taste was great as always!
