Ate at Shugs Comfort Food in Bellevue, NE for supper. Simply outstanding! The fried chicken was delicious, the mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra, and coleslaw were divine, and the cornbread was to die for. The service was awesome. Highly recommend! I’ll be going back for seconds and thirds and fourths….

If I could leave 10 STARS I would! This place is a hidden gem that everyone has to try. They put so much love into the food they make. I had the Shrimp PoBoy with Mac n Cheese and Fried Pickels. Everything came out hot and freshly battered/cooked and I still can't stop thinking about how good it was! It topped every restaurant experience I've ever had and I will definitely be back for more!! 💗

We've had Shug's dozens of times and they've never disappointed. The customer service is friendly and the food is excellent and consistent.
I'm partial to the oxtails they serve mainly on Fridays, but everything on the menu is tasty. I tell people that if they like fried okra, Shug's may have the best Okra in the world! It sounds kinda crazy but I've never had better...anywhere. It's a seriously crispy and nicely seasoned treat.
They also do an excellent job catering events outside of their restaurant.
Can't go wrong with Shug's... Bellevue is lucky to have such a great option for soul food.

I traveled very far to get food ,I ordered a 2 PC fried chicken a breast an wing because I don't eat dark meat, of course I got dark meat ,this has happened the last three time I visited the restaurant, it my fault for not checking my food. The cook was back in the kitchen playing around more than working ,there was someone who could not have worked there she was on her phone the whole time,no hair net . It was my fault. So I don't have anything to eat but sides , I traveled too far for this to keep happening management needs to oversee this restaurant sometime because people will ruin your business.

Oh my goodness, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we received our food! Everything we both had was amazing and very flavorful!! We had been trying to eat at Shug's for over a year after I lucked up finding her. We have had our share of disappointment with various restaurants food but I promise you, you will be over satisfied with any food choices you make at Shug's Comfort Foods, we definitely will be back!!! I was full halfway through my dinner but everything was sooo delicious, we made it home and I can still taste everything I ordered on my lips 😋. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Cozy little place in old town part of Bellevue . Staff was clean and friendly . And quick service I got the catfish combo wife got the 3 pc chicken everything was delicious and big portions greens and red beans were on point I added a little Louisiana to mine I like spicy . Catfish clean and flakey. Can’t wait to go back and try some of the other options. Oh and food came out fresh and piping hot !!
