Went to dinner with my boyfriend and his family on a Friday night. We made a reservation for 6:30 and were seated right away. All of the servers were very friendly. The salads were literally bag lettuce and cheese, we were given styrofoam plates for our appetizers, our water was served in nice crystal glasses but my boyfriend got an iced tea and it was served in a red solo cup. We waited an hour and a half from the time we finished our salads to when we were served our meals. We all ordered steaks and none of them were cooked to our preference. We didn’t send them back because we didn’t want to wait any longer. We have tried this place a few times, each time not being pleasing. Sadly we will not be back.

I know I’ve bragged on this place before but it does not get any better than this. Tonight the food was outstanding again! Ribeye cooked perfectly, potato choice was hashbrowns…. extra crispy. Comes with salad and rolls. Service was top notch! Wine…well it’s not served by a sommelier but it was fine. I know there are steakhouses in Omaha that I absolutely love, but I don’t think any of them cook their steaks like this place. And you need to look at the receipt and the price point and I think you will be amazed at the value. Depending on where you live, it’s only a 20 minute drive north. Limited hours tho so look.

An average restaurant for a small town. The menu was bare on appearance, and although the choices looked good, the entrée presentations lacked appeal. The appetizers were standard deep fry fare (pickles, mozzarella sticks) which were bland. The steak selections of prime rib and porterhouse were appealing. I chose the fish & chips for the mood i found myself in, and was disappointed that they were overcooked.

This place has been around for 40+ years now and they still try hard to make you happy. Yes there are delays when the house is full or a table of 20 gets their order in before yours; So you can call in an order at 530pm arrive at 600pm and have your food within 5 minutes. They have always tried hard to maintain a supply of dark specialty beers for me when I drank. The manager is Mary and Steve stops in sometimes to talk with patrons. This place has history, had caged bears out front for a while. Still going strong. Good variety of foods at prices commensurate with like restaurants. They care!

We went with a large group for dinner. Due to the size of the group, the service was a little slow as you would expect. We had a Surf & Turf and a Ribeye with baked potatoes and salads. The steaks were very good and done as requested. The other parts of the meal were very average. Prices were very reasonable for a steak dinner.
