Just a pretty three hour drive from Omaha and you will be in for quite the adventure! We decided to stay at the Argo for our 25th wedding anniversary. A beautiful, historic hotel with gorgeous rooms that are furnished with antiques and each room is unique. We stayed in the Paris room which also featured a bidet in the bathroom. Very comfortable and at the end of the hall. It would have been a quiet room normally if the hotel wasn’t also known for being haunted. Is it? Yes, yes it is. Will it be a regular visit? I’m planning on it. The hotel is in amazing hands with its owner Jennifer who also happens to be a fabulous chef! The breakfast that is included is absolutely delicious and not to be missed. Come out and meet Jennifer and her “residents” for an unforgettable night or weekend!

My husband and I had the best time at the Argo B&B! Walking in truly feels like you’re stepping back in time. The decor are true antiques, there’s old timey music playing in the background, it even smells like grandmas house.

The owners, Gennipher and her daughter, are amazing hosts and can make one hell of a breakfast. I can’t say enough good things about the two of them!

Each room has its own theme and story at affordable rates. Everything from the decor to the room sprays are thought out and match the energy of the room. Very clean and homey.

If you’re into good company, antiques, ghosts and good food this is the place for you! :)

We did something different this year and instead of going glamping we stayed at a B&B in Crofton, NE. I booked it before finding out it was haunted… ?

The history of the place was so beautiful and it had so much life and we were so grateful to be able to stay there! Gennipher and Mazzee were the bestest hosts! So accommodating and the food you guys… five stars!

We’ve never stayed in a place with so much history! We played farkle in the compelling basement while enjoying some wine while listening to the jukebox. We even had some of the “inhabitants” mess with us a few times, but all in good fun.

This will be a new routine for us to enjoy a relaxing weekend at the Argo, with our new favorite hosts! I encourage everyone to check this place out, seriously such a blast!

The Historic Argo is your home away from home. Gennipher and Mazzee (owners and caretakers for the resident spirits) are the perfect hostesses. Starting with a tour to pick your room, learning the history, and hearing some ghostly tales are the perfect ways to get acquainted with the house. Each room has a carefully and curated theme and you feel transformed back to a different time. The antiques at the Argo are beautifully selected and museum worthy. For those interested in paranormal activity - this place is oozing with active spirits. I highly recommend staying two nights. The residents here are most active with those they know and trust. For those that want a nice stay at a B&B and a chance to meet some great people - this place is the right pick. If you enjoy a great breakfast (with vegetarian and vegan options) - Gennipher and Mazzee will make sure you have some yummy treats and great food to fuel your day. You can't go wrong staying at the Argo!

What a wonderful piece of history. The owner and her daughter are wonderful chefs and hosts. The meal was delicious. The tour with the history of the building was great! We will definitely be coming back to spend the night.

Amazing and absolutely stunning. The Argo is rich with so much amazing history, amazing architecture, welcoming atmosphere, and a beautiful soul. The host is amazing, and most certainly doesn’t lack in culinary skills. Amazing care and attention to detail was put into our entire experience at the Argo. Food was an absolute delight to wake up to every morning, and I’m not a morning person, but the anticipation of our breakfast sure got my behind out of bed. Highly recommend taking at least an entire weekend to just absorb a small portion of what the Argo has to offer! Within hours of our arrival, my husband was already planning our next excursion to the Argo

We had the distinct pleasure of staying at Argo Bed and Breakfast from November 3rd to 6th, and we feel compelled to share our extraordinary experience. Upon arrival at the historic Argo, our group was immediately captivated by its enchanting character and tales of its renown paranormal activity, which seemed to transport everyone into another world. This setting was not just a backdrop but a central character in our planned, weekend-long, Dungeons and Dragons horror game and it couldn't have been more perfect. The Argo had changed hands since my wife and I last visited, so we were curious to see what might have changed. I'm happy to state that our group was treated like family and encouraged to consider the Argo our home for the weekend. We couldn't have been happier and more satisfied guests as our every need was quickly attended to. The new owner took our group on a personalized ghost tour of the Argo sharing its storied history as well as her personal experience with the paranormal "residents" of the Argo. This served as the perfect kickoff to our D&D horror game weekend setting the mood better than anything else we could have imagined. Each morning, we were greeted with scrumptious breakfasts that were not only delicious but also provided the much-needed fuel for our day's adventures. The hospitality we received was a crucial ingredient in transforming our weekend gathering from a mere role-playing adventure game to a treasure trove of memories that will be fondly talked about for years. Every detail, every comfort, and every smile were noticed and appreciated. Our heartfelt thanks for an event that will be referred to as "legendary" in our circle.

We had the opportunity to stay at the Argo this past weekend. What a great experience! Staff was super friendly and gave excellent insight to the historic facility. Excellent breakfast and coffee! I highly recommend everyone to stay here if you're in the Crofton/Yankton area!

Jennifer the new owner is the perfect host! She welcomed us in late and still took the time to get to know us and gave us a historic/ghost tour with a drink. We got to experience some ghosts activity in the morning. Nothing scary. And the food Jennifer cook up for breakfast was wonderful! It was our first time in a bnb and I couldn't be happier with our choice!

Barbara+Bob, from San Diego, CA. Visiting to run Crofton's Dam Race Half Marathon. The Argo is a gorgeous blast from the past, when design was an art form. Innkeeper, Jennifer, treats guests like family. Truly a delightful stay!

This was my first ever Bed and Breakfast visit. It is located in a very, quiet, small town. It is amazing when you walk in the door. It put me immediately back in time. Jennifer is the new owner and was very attentive to our every need. She offered us beverages for your evening and a wonderful breakfast. The fritata was rich with flavor. The mascarpone custard with blueberries created a want for it again. I has always wanted to taste the mascarpone and was not disappointed. Our room was a two room suite with a jacuzzi tub. The bed was comfortable and we could spend hours looking at all the historical artifacts that fill the building. The star of our visit was the building which has been through many changes over generations. It seems to have a life of its own.

Definitely the place to stay in Nebraska!! I would highly recommend not only booking a stay, but inviting a couple of friends for your weekend away too as there are multiple communal places to sit and visit. The rooms are unique and stunning! The room my husband and I stayed in had a balcony and the weather was just right to enjoy it. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Six of us made the trek to a concert at the Knox county fair and could not have picked a better place. Check out their fb page for pictures!
