“Older restaurant on the Missouri River. Good views. Go there for fish. No longer serving WalleyeParking: Parkng adjacent and immediately in front of entrance.Wheelchair accessibility: Gravel parkng lot. No reserved spaces that I noticed”
“This dog friendly establishment has been one of my favorite stops while visiting Yankton. This time, I ordered an iced latte and panini for lunch. Still tasty! I like the aesthetic of the place and vibe of the people. I will be back!”
“This restaurant has arguably the best ingredients in the REGION! The salads are amazing! The pasta is homemade! That is right, homemade in-house! I would put their food quality up against any dining establishment in the region! It is worth the drive if you are outside of Yankton, SD!Parking: You park right outside the door! Super convenient.”
“Such a neat place! The food is amazing, staff as kind and helpful as can be, and the atmosphere and decore make it that more appealing! I wish they were open longer for more dinner options in our small community. Did I mention the food is amazing??”
“good food, orange chicken, pepper steak, and fried rice, it is economical... and the food tastes very good, Mr. is very kind, I wish him all the best.. I will return thanks... open from 5pm to 10 pm the 7 days, carry out only ???”
“One of our favorite hang outs. Great vibes, great drinks, friendly staff. Just remember it's a small staff so the unique drinks can take a bit when they are busy. Totally worth the wait though!”
“Neat bar with a friendly bartender. Hit the two for one happy hour with out of town friends and all were favorably impressed. A good place for cold beer for those who like to sit at a wrap around type bar.”
“Let me tell you, this is hands down the best place to have a good meal in Yankton. A group of 6 of us were there Friday the 23rd of Feb 2024. We were in town chasing snow geese. The six of us had dinner, two appetizers, several beers and I had 2 cocktails, the bill was under $100. There was one bartender/server taking care of the entire bar and she did an amazing job. Sorry I didn’t get her name so I could praise her great job, we were happy to leave her a 50% tip. Five of us had the burgers and 6th had the walleye. Everything was very good.”
“It's a drive up, curb service beer place. Order from your car and drink in your car or on the outdoor deck. Tradition is to throw your empty bottle under the deck and break it against the brick wall. Loads of fun and good times!”
“Not the place if you’re looking for a multi course meal, but awesome if you like a local bar with a great broasted chicken or burger. Been here several times while in town and haven’t yet been disappointed in either the food or company.”
“Fantastic selection of beers and friendly staff. We also enjoyed the Bloody Mary and slushie drinks. They had a food truck on site which was delicious.Complimentary popcorn was great too!Be sure and check out Ben’s Station which is about 6 blocks to the north. Another great place.”
“The food was very authentic and very good! Service was welcoming. Not a huge variety, but you don't need that. With all the main items, you will find something to order. They have shrimp, chicken, Chipotle chicken, pork, and beef. They have a food truck as well so you might be able to catch them at certain events. They have the special ice cream and drinks you would find at authentic Mexican restaurants as well. Stop in and check them out! I got the Super Taco which is made with a handmade tortilla. It was very good!”
“Friendly bar with a great atmosphere.. Was visiting from Omaha and felt like home.. Sierra rocks it behind the bar..Great looking gal with A great attitude..The first place I will visit when I go back to Yankton!!”
“I always have such a great experience every time I stop in! The Shaketender is always smiling and the drinks are always amazing. The shakes are perfect for drinking right away!”
“Loved going to Boomer's for my Wings on Jenna's Wing Wednesday! She treated me like family and always made me feel welcome! Recently moved to Wisconsin and I am sure missing going to Boomer's, my wings and this gal! You won't regrest making it your weekly spot for Wing Wednesdays!!!!”
“Pleasantly surprised! Supreme pizza had fresh ingredients! Wings were delicious & fries were amazing! Staff was talkative and friendly. Drinks were great as well. Highly recommended!!!”
“Everything was great! They had reservations convenient by allowing me to request online. The service was spot on. She checked on us at the perfect times. We were never waiting on her or bothered by her. The prime rib and ribeye were both perfectly cooked. All parties were satisfied.”
“We love to try new places, and this was a great find!!! The place was very clean and welcoming.. the service was fast and friendly.. the food was delicious!!! Definitely worth the trip!!!”
“Still very good food, fast service, and they are keeping their prices low even with everyone around them going up. PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS.”
“Upon first entering, you are encountered with two chairs with signs on the seat that read “for display only”. In my opinion, having a display only sign on a seat ruins the display value of the seat. The place for being so immensely large few people were there. If this place were even at half capacity, the very limited staff may suffer from stroke. From what I’ve seen there is only one waiter waiting on all four tables. It felt as if I was existing in the location of a Ghostbusters outtake. The three working fans were somehow at drastically different speeds. Not to mention the fact the light bulbs are one what mismatched. The fireplace, practically begging for a large fire was merely supplied with a small flame. From a dark corner bar, constantly emerged that if some jazzy music. After a while the music stopped and we had to sit in uncomfortable silence. For the six of us, there were only 3 quite used menus. The people who own the place had to deface their own menus in pen with new prices for some of the items. 4 dollars for a Coke, even in this economy is ridicules. Ordering food was quite the ordeal. The person who waited on us may of had hearing issues. She almost mistook a rum and coke for a “lemon coke”. The bathroom is reminiscent of a subway station mixed with what I’d imagine would be some sort of strange disco. The facet is atrocious. I’m not a salad person, but a bite of the stuff with their signature garlic dressing is delicious. One of my acquaintances got a “death stare” for asking and having held onto the garlic dressing after the salad. I had heard they had bread but was very disappointed when I heard they didn’t. A place like this should certainly have bread. After an hour our entrees arrived. One good thing with the service was the very kindly gave me my requested fries after learning they had gave me the baked potato by mistake. The others who ate with me had steaks, burger, or chicken stripes. The chicken was fine, the burger (from the kids meal) was surprisingly huge. I got the barbecue ribs and they were immaculate. The meat fell right off the bone and the sauce was so good. If you like garlic get the fries and keep the garlic dressing. It makes a great dip. Overall while I did poke fun a little it is good place for the food. Atmosphere is still iffy.”
“The food came out quick and was great per usual! Will the bartender took care of us and he was very quick, personable, and funny. We already come in once a month but we plan on coming in a lot more often on Wills shifts we enjoyed ourselves that much!”
“They have a good crew working there. I like that just my ordering there once a week they recognize me and hand me my online order right when i walk in. It's that little extra effort that makes these places stand out.”
“We had been wanting to try the Dam Fish Shack and finally got there before they close in October. We enjoyed sitting outside on a pleasant September evening, and were impressed by the delicious food (cod and catfish baskets for us). The servings are HUGE so we will split an order next time and maybe not feel so heavy afterwards. Oh, and we tried cornhole for the first time to see what all the fuss is about. My husband, at least, is good at it...”
