Longhorn is the restaurant and bar that we all want within walking distance of our house. A hometown, locally owned gem with great food and service. I'll eat here every time I find myself in Ft. Calhoun.
The dry rubbed wings are probably some of the best I’ve ever had and the beer battered fries also are excellent. I could barely eat it all and that was just 6 wings! Add a local brew, I tried the Midwest Haze IPA from Keg Creek Brewing, Glenwood, Iowa. Very good. The service was great and the small town atmosphere very cool.

Awesome wings! Giant and perfectly cooked. Our table tried 6 flavors and the boom boom was best. Dry rub was kind of bland but still solid. Buffalo was mild compared to what I was used to. Burger was disappointing as there was not much to it. Wish I ordered more wings or the broasted chicken.
