Great spot for a group to meet for food and drinks. Even though we drove in 10 miles from Omaha, we still ran into two different groups that we knew. The pulled pork has a fantastic rich smokey taste. Onion rings sparked a debate about who has the best rings in the area. These are in the conversation, depending on how thick you like the onions cut.
I've been a regular at the Rustic for years. Very good atmosphere that fits the small town vibe. The food is typical bar food. Good burgers, fries, sandwiches. They offer steak and broasted chicken which is also very good.
My only complaint is that they charge $3.29 for soda water. That's a money grab in my book as they classify it as pop on the ticket. It's water.

Five years ago during the Covid fiasco I left a neg review because the housekeeping was not up to par. I am here to amend it.Things have changed at the rustic. Its is clean and neat. Still has the rustic charm but the food is great and the tacos are the best in the metro. I enjoy the adult waitresses who are friendly and efficient. We eat there regularly on taco Tuesdays. The drive to Fort Calhoun is enjoyable and restaurant is from times past. Great food, very enjoyable. I recommend...
