We stopped by for a quick treat on the way through Fremont. The ice cream was amazing, the prices were much more reasonable than some of the other specialty ice cream shops we have visited and the restaurant was spotless. When I complimented the young man who served us, he told us that he had just purchased the shop about a year ago. I could hear the pride in his voice and that pride obviously carries through in all aspects of his business. I wished we lived closer as we would love to try ALL the flavors!

I always drive right by this place... I notice picnic tables, neon signage, and occasional crowds... I decided to try it. The ice cream was cold and good! They have options, but it gives a vibe as if you can only get chocolate/vanilla in a cup/cone. The owner(I'm guessing) and the staff have been very nice and friendly on my couple other visits. I think, that really the only thing holding it back, is the atmosphere. You get a little more options for seating, and maybe some music... I think it has the makings of a really fun place to hang out.

There'think of summer and sitting in shade outside of my favorite place of all, the"'Sweete Shop. A place where we look forward to going every Friday evening with my Grandmother after supper . Oh how the ice cream tasted so scrumptous and delicious we knew were in heaven even if for a brief moment . It's been over a half a century and many hot summer nights ago but I remember those nights like they were yesterday and the sweet taste of a vanilla ice cream cone dipped in chocolate fudge with a grin as wide as the Platte that runs outside of the city a few miles away ..
