“We had THE BEST customer service at Big Red last night! Despite every table being full, Our server Tracie K went above and beyond! From grabbing my husbands order while he was standing in the keno line, bringing my older child a cookie even though she didn’t order the kids meal, and even chasing us down with our leftover food boxes we forgot when we were walking out the door! The service was also very fast on this extremely busy night for them. We can’t wait to take our family back there!”

“Rhonda has the BEST cake in the world. Just by chance, I was able to sample her cake at a bridal fair in Fremont back in 1997. Needless to say, she won me over and she made our wedding cake that fall. It was not only the most gorgeous cake but the best tasting, moist cake I had ever tasted. It was just like I imagined. And now I have been buying her cakes ever since. Birthdays, baptisms, end of the season sports parties, reunions, etc. Whatever the occasion is, I call Rhonda. She has it down to a perfect science. It truly is the freshest, moistest and delicious cake that I have ever had!”

Service is great if you get there early but be prepared for a bit of a wait if you're late. Atmosphere is negligible; a "lucky cat" and a few other items. I don't go there for atmosphere, I go there for the wonderful food!”

“We’ve had the pleasure of working with Tipico Helado at many events, and while we haven’t always had the chance to get to know them personally, they’ve always been fantastic. At this past event, it was especially great working with them—they were incredibly collaborative, especially when guests naturally got up to grab ice cream and we had to put a brief pause on things. They were so helpful and easy to work with throughout. Of course, the ice cream itself was amazing! We even got the chance to grab a couple ourselves, and it did not disappoint. Their presentation is beautiful, their product is top-notch, and they’re a joy to work with. We highly recommend Tipico Helado for your next party or event—it was an absolute pleasure having them!”

“Anyone from the Midwest knows Runza is a go to in the fast food world and boy are they right! The mushroom and Swiss sandwich and burger are too die for. They have crinkle fries and onion rings but there is more THEY HAVE FRINGS...Fries and onion rings 😉they have dessert options like cones and milkshakes and an amazing strawberry lemonade but come on....$1 .00 cones??? Can't top them at service either! We will call this our must have for life!”

“I have been coming to 7 brew pretty consistently since they opened in September 2025. The service can be very inconsistent however, I get very excited when I see Ellie is the barista taking orders because even though it’s early in the morning she still makes the visit fun and she’s very kind and doesn’t rush you or make you feel awkward. Love her!”

“I’ve been going to the Starbucks now for about a year. The manager Brenda has always been professional and kind along with the gals that work there. And she keeps it well staffed so that even on the busiest days you can get your drink and get out of there before too long. They are personal and friendly. I have sugar restrictions, and so they made some offers with different drinks on how they could reduce the amount of sugar. I’d say they’ve got a good thing going there.”

My wife and I recently returned to my hometown for an eight day visit to spend some time with my mom and reconnect with some longtime friends. During our stay, I made several trips to one of my all-time favorite restaurants, The Village Inn. I have always loved going to the Village Inn for the amazing food. In just my eight day visit, I dined in five or six times, and every single visit was exceptional. But what truly made each experience stand out wasn’t just the
menu — it was one remarkable server, Devan, who turned every meal into something truly memorable.

From the moment we met, he made me feel like I had known him my entire life. He was warm, genuine, attentive, and incredibly personable — the kind of person who doesn’t just serve food, but creates an atmosphere of comfort, connection, and care. I was so impressed with our first interaction that I asked to be seated in his section every time. He never once missed a beat, no matter how busy the restaurant was. Even more incredible, through our conversations, he offered my high school best friend and me some surprisingly profound and timely life advice — the kind that sticks with you long after the meal is over.

Devan is not just in the right line of work — he is in the right calling. His presence, authenticity, and ability to connect on a deeper level, reminded me that sometimes the most meaningful moments happen in the most unexpected places.

I also want to recognize his supervisor, Kyle, who was equally outstanding. Despite the busy rush of dinners, Kyle had a gift for making our party feel like we were the only guests in the dining room. That level of attentiveness and hospitality made our experience even more special.

As I reflect on my visit home, I’ll remember the laughter with my family and friends — but I will also remember the kindness, care, and genuine human connection we experienced at this restaurant. To our server Devan, who made us feel so seen and valued: I believe you’re going to do amazing things in life, far beyond the walls of any dining room! Thank you for being exactly who you are!”
