Always great food and drinks Friendly wait staff. Steak night is Wednesday and a very good value

The place was understaffed so there was a little bit of a wait to be seated, but the food makes it worth waiting for. With being understaffed, every worker that did show up for work, did an amazing job and the food was, like I said, worth waiting for. The mashed potatoes with spinach and artichoke were out of this world good. If you have to wait a bit, walk out back and enjoy the outdoors and the carp you can feed from the deck.

Delicious salmon and wedge salad. Excellent specials each week. The atmosphere is so relaxing and on a nice evening, the patio is the best place for dinner.

If I remember right I had a pizza at this restaurant. It was really good. The only complaint was by my brother. He said the bill was little steep.

Service was terrible. Forced to pay tip when waitress never refilled our drinks or serviced us. Waitress was rude when we asked for a coffee refill. She complained that she would have to brew a new pot of coffee. Saw only her twice and both times we had to chase her to give us refills. She was rude and put us in a dark corner of the restaurant by the bar with little to no lighting. Paid $324 dollars for a birthday meal that we never was serviced and had to chase her to give us the service we needed. They added a 15% tip in the bill so we had no choice but to tip her which is bad business because a forced tip would make a waitress not do their job right since they don't have to worry about not being tipped. This was the worse experience I have ever had and this was suppose to be a birthday for a special person and we couldn't even enjoy it. This experience is down for bad memories and that will be a memory we will never forget and it should have been a special birthday occasion to enjoy.

The food here is typically pretty good. I've only had their steaks so take that for what it is. The service is usually pretty good as well. Just like with most places the staff is inconsistent. My only complaint it is the price is not equal to the ambiance. The ambiance is obviously better during the summer on the patio. The winter not so much. If it were nicer in the inside the prices would be justified. But it's not nice in the inside.

Having spent a lot of time in this bar back when we had a house out here, things sure have changed. We were told by so many people to try the menu and it did not disappoint! The Mushroom fries were so good, nice light breading. One of the best wedge salads ever. Good crab bisque. Daughter liked the salmon and my wife said the roast beef melt was one of the best she'd had. My walleye sandwich was not too heavy, great flavor and aioli. Suzanne or server was just pleasant and attentive as ever. Just a log cabin feel and not fancy at all but the food is worth the drive. We will be back

I'm really sad I didn't get to grab photos, because photos are my usual forté on this platform -- however, I couldn't go and not review! FOOD : My husband and I ordered the 8oz sirloin and our friend got the chicken teriyaki dish, and we split some mushroom fries as well. My sirloin was delicious! I loved the flavors and the sauce they used, I also appreciated that their portion sizes didn't make you leave feeling like a glutton. It was the perfect amount of food (although I wouldn't have minded some more veggies!) and the steak was cooked great for me. My husband loved his and although it was a touch fatty, it was delicious and worth getting again. My friend has an obsession with their coconut shrimp, but the menu changes often so it wasn't around this time and she got the chicken teriyaki dish. She gobbled the whole thing up and although it wasn't as good as the coconut shrimp, she seemed to enjoy it! As for the mushroom fries, I'm not huge on deep fried anything - but my husband is and he thought they were good!SERVICE : the service was top notch! We felt so taken care of and they were so kind and overall just downright friendly. It almost felt like we all knew each other! They do a great job of making people feel taken care of and satisfied. ATMOSPHERE : The Woodcliff restaurant is THE poppin place to be for anyone who lives around the woodcliff lake or beyond. It is definitely a hot commodity amongst the lake community, and we got the opportunity to check it out through an invite to go to dinner from one of our friends who live by it. From the outside I wasn't expecting much, if I'm being completely honest I was a little bit nervous that we might be getting food poising from this joint because it didn't have much appeal from the outside. But as the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover! The inside is warm and welcoming, a "cabin-esque" ambiance with string lights over the back patio and warm yellow light inside. Everyone seems excited to be there and from what we heard, it's always pretty busy (which is a good thing!). It is definitely not a cheap spot, but I would say you get what you pay for. It truly is a delicious hidden gem that I wish more people knew about!
