Super disappointed in our experience here this morning. My partner came here a few times with her mom in the past and it was great but today was not it. My partner and I went to eat here since I’ve never tried it. We felt super rushed and like they wanted us out. When our server came to “greet us” she rolled her eyes and was like you guys are just going to drink water in a bitchy tone. She was also not speaking loud enough for us to hear her but she was talking super loudly to the people at another table. She literally snatched the menu from in front of me when I was trying to pick it up and hand it to her. Our server was super nice to everyone but us. She didn’t ask us if we wanted a refill or if the food was good. I had no water in my cup but she went to refill everyone else’s cups. She didn’t check up on us but the tables around us she was talking away. Was she racist because we were Hispanics and everyone else was white? Was it because we are young 20 year olds and everyone else was older? I don’t know but we were super disappointed especially with my partner being 9 months pregnant, she wanted a piece of pie but the server never stopped and asked “how’s everything tasting” or “do you need anything else” She just dropped off the check and said “when you guys are ready to leave”. We were super nice and we usually are big tip people but we felt like she didn’t deserve it and she lost out on money. The food was super good we are just super disappointed in how we were treated. I’m just truly sad as I’ve always talked so good about farmers daughter. She was a blonde server btw!

Delicious food, friendly staff and clean facility!! Thanks for the great experience.
It was just this side of perfect. Just the nicest people, the food was on point, and it wasn't so busy that you felt guilty sitting and having another cup of coffee. Good folks and good food here. Check 'em out.

We stopped on our way to Omaha and was not disappointed. The absolute best Reuben we have ever wrapped our tastebuds around. Thick slices of tender, juicy corned beef and thousand island dressing on the side. Oh and the pies? Homemade and delicious, I had the peanut butter and chocolate pie as good as my great grandmother’s!

Got there at noon on a friday. Greeted at the door and seated ourselves. Drink order was taken right away and we were given menus. I had the liver and onions and my wife the chicken fried steak. Both were very good. Had coconut cream pie for desert. Excellent service and good food worth the money! Nice old school atmosphere

Order pie as you walk in the door, it goes fast and is so worth it. This place is a dive for sure, but the food and the service are worth it. Everything is from scratch and down home delicious.

If I could give more stars I would. We were in GI and used google, this was the place with the best reviews. What an absolute Gem! We were greated with kindness and a smile when we walked in. Unfortunately I missed the hostess name but she really brightened our day with her wisdom of the restaurant. Our waitress was on top of suggestions, needs, and refills. She went over and above to give us a great experience. The cook was on top of it and truly is great at their job. The food was cooked just like it should be hot, delicious, and fast.
If you want a genuine old school diner experience cooked with love from scratch then this is your place. My husband has been making excuses to go to GI during lunch time (starts at 11am) all week to try their famous pie! We were told it goes fast so get there early. The parking is a bit tight. That's not their fault just something to keep in mind. If you are able to they have a large free parking area just across the street and you can walk over to the restaurant.
