Not clean, staff is there there to socialize, takes too long for simple help/requests. Appears about 2 of about 8 staff i saw were actually there to work and carrying the load.
Stopped for dinner, decided to only grab a drink and appetizer after experiencing shotty service from the bartender. When I arrived, there were 5 spots at the bar that hadnt been cleaned after the guests left. I spent 45mins to an hr there for a drink and chip appetizer. Took 12mins to get asked what I would like, another 15 to 20 to get my food. Ate and left as it seemed the bartender and staff were more concerned with hanging in the little office just past the bar. The plates and trash at the bar seating still weren't cleaned by the time I left. Guess not all applebees are the same.

I don't normally write reviews but last night was unfortunate enough to warrant some introspection from a manager. We arrived at 5:30 and were promptly seated. Waitress didn't come to the table until 5:50pm. Took our order (1 appetizer, 2 adult meals, 1 kids meal). Asked about some waters said she would get those. 6:15pm now 45min since being seated: no waters, no silverware, menus still on the table. I asked the hostess to get us some water and she did. The waitress apologized for the wait and noted it was her first day on the job. Looked like she had 8 tables while we were there and I noted 2 tables leaving prior to ordering and 2 tables needing a check and waiting 10-15 min to leave. You could cut the tension in the air with a knife in our section. No one got mad or yelled but the frustration was on many face. Food came at 6:40 but No appetizer was ever made or delivered to the table. Overall the food was good as it usually is but the time delay and service was horrendous. Paid with cash at 7:10 because I didn't want to wait to use a card. I don't want to blame the waitress because it appears that she didn't have much training or support and needed to learn the basics still before running tables on her own. We will not be stopping in for a while and hope this leads to some increased training and support for new staff members.

After waiting long enough for our food, they brought me the pizza of my young son with two of his four portions burned, and when they returned it they could not bring another one because they no longer had any more. They brought us the food and we had to wait for the cutlery and napkins that did not arrive. I had to order a piña colada twice that they ended up bringing almost along with the food and when they checked the bill the pizza I returned, they had not taken it away, I almost paid for it. A very bad service without a doubt I will not return to my family there.

Went for my niece and i's birthday got there at 5:55, and then we sat there till sixth twenty, with no one coming to talk to us, nothing no drinks we had interacted with no server, in fact, the server that we were supposed to have spent most of her time fiddling with computers and joking around and talking with other staff, another customer had to stand there and wait like he had to stand up to get any attention, and then she still walked away with his receipt, he had reminder to give it to him all around, just a terrible sperience it just to be ignored basically the whole time. And multiple tables, getting up and leaving.

One of my worst experiences in a restaurant, it took a while for us to get seated and finally 20 minutes before happy hour ended we got sat, then we ordered another drink two minutes after happy hour ended. She forgot multiple times what we ordered. Or when we asked for a napkin it never came. Not sure this is a well ran restaurant…

We're not able to stay and eat place was less than half full but it was going to be 20 minutes 4 a seat and we were first in line. And we're told that it would be at least 1 hour wait 4 food. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Seems like a management problem.

We went to Applebee's on December 10th for my birthday. Two of us ordered steak and mashed potatoes and a side salad. The waiter brought us our meal and took a bite out of my mashed potatoes and they were refrigerator cold. I was really disappointed. The waiter was awesome!! We were told that it wasn't as good as it used to be.🤨🥴😠

When questioning time to get our orders the hostess made a point to come back to our table to say that it had only been 20 minutes not 45! Must have taken her 20 minutes to place our order with the cooks. And did I mention, Filthy?

The food was cold for 2 of us when it came out. We never got our appetizer. The server gave us attitude when we were ordering and struggled to bring us sliverware and no refills. The restaurant was not even that busy.
About as bad as it gets here...please Applebee's do something.this place is drowning! 1 hour 30min wait to get food!! Saw 4 couples get up and leave... Only 7 tables occupied on a saturday night...Not enough help! Food is marginal at best for spending over $140...we are trying to support restaurants in this town, but we are over coming back... 3 times we have given this place a chance...im officially done after tonight....feel bad for the waitresses...only 2 during rush , not really a rush on a Saturday night...Kearney Deserves better! Not sure if any of these reviews are getting your attention....all the same issues! Money will be spent elsewhere.

Took an hour or more for the food to arrive to the table, server came and then was gone like a ghost and only reappeared when it was time to cash out and even that took 20 mins. Total time spent for a sub-par meal was 2 hours.

The absolute worst experience. We sat for an hour and got crap for food and service. This is the second time! First time we had a $40 check I tipped $15 then got double charged on the tip. So she got a $30 tip. Now our food is overcooked no refills just Disgusting won’t be back!!

Never going back!!! Have not been here in months and the rumor is correct they have went downhill. Never got a refill, food was cold, service was terrible for the 5 tables they had in there it took an hour to get food. Manager served food with a baby on her hip said it was an employee’s kid. Multiple tables were complaining. They were out of Alfredo sauce and mozzarella sticks. My cup was dirty around the rim. Terrible experience all the way around.

If I could 0 I would. The chicken alredro tasted spoiled and awful!!! Waited nearly an hour for our car side to go! Didn't eat but a bite of it and tossed it! What a waste of time and money!
