Passing Through

Very disappointing. We have travelled through NE often to visit family in CO. This was the first time trying Kitts Kitchen. Found it expensive for what you get. Advertised as a bakery, I would expect the scramble to come with toast, a biscuit or some other bread or potato but does not. The fruit it does come with is more of a garnish, one strawberry, one raspberry and 3 blueberries. You basically order and then service yourself, meaning you get your own silverware, water, utensils, napkins and condiments. You also clean up after yourself. If I would have known, I would not have tipped when I ordered. Their bakery display was pretty empty, only a couple of pastries. Atmosphere is fun and nostalgic, beautiful wood work. I will not return.

The food was delicious and very filling. The fruit was fresh, the pancakes and biscuits were fluffy, and the bacon was crisp without being greasy. There was a nice outside patio as well as space inside. It felt like a coffee shop with a larger menu. My only dislike was that you have to fetch your food and drinks yourself.

Generous portions that not only look beautiful but are delicious. The half portion biscuit and gravy contained a moist biscuit that I assume would be tasty even without the creamy gravy, sausag, and fresh green onion topping. The English muffin sandwich contains a thick, nicely seasoned sausage patty. The crepes and pancakes are enormous. Beautiful choices for baked goods. Service was prompt and accurate even on a busy Sunday morning in a charming old brick building with wood floors.

Great stop during our travels! Good food, drinks & service. Cool atmosphere. Love that they have lots of teas — better than most coffee shops. Tea was so good I also bought some to go!

Excellent flavors and presentation. A return visit with friends and family is on the list.

Best food in Kearney. Vibrant atmosphere, nice, competent employees. No snob attitude, great baristas. Delicious comfort foods and healthy delicious breakfast and brunch food. I recommend the steak and mushroom omelet, cooked in real butter if you ask. Delicious fluffy pancakes

Food and drinks are okay, but it is very clear the owners do not respect their employees and culture an unhealthy work environment

Excellent coffee

The coffee was delicious, the staff were kind and very accommodating, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming (especially on a rainy, cold day), and the bagels and eggs were delicious. If we lived locally, we would visit very often.

The wife and I were in from Colorado for the Sandhill Crane migration viewing and after an early morning in the Rowe blind on the Platte River we found Kitt’s for brunch. Two days in a row we had the Egg n’ Cheese Bagel melt and a latte. Fantastic ambiance to hang out and enjoy coffee. Very friendly staff. We’ll be back again next spring for the migration and Kitt’s.

Be careful ordering the pancakes. They are ENORMOUS, and it might take two people to eat. But they are so delicious. All the food at Kitt's is outstanding. Great staff and a friendly atmosphere.
