After taking time to cool down about my experience at The Cellar, I’ve decided to say; to the customers that don’t know, keep in mind that groups 8 or more will have a “large group” 20% fee. Less than a handful of Kearney businesses implement this fee. Respectfully I understand The Cellar does, and at the very least verbally communicating that with potential customers before seating is what (I) would do as an honest business for transparencies sake. It’s a dirty tactic to lure you in, you eat, pay the bill AND you pay the 20% fee, the staff blame you for not looking for the notice on the menu, and then you never return because you may feel deceived.

We went after peak lunch hours so I'm not sure if its always as fast but our service was quick and the food was out pretty quick. Our waiter was awesome. He was friendly, helpful, and full of jokes which made the experience even better. If you like spicy their hot nash was very tasty and had a nice kick to it.

The menu is incorrect. Don’t try calling for takeout because they can’t hear their phone and if they do they can’t hear you on the other end. It’s so loud in there you can’t hear anything. This place lacks the old cellar atmosphere and the original onion rings and hot beef sandwiches.
Food was great!

The Cellar has always held a special place in my heart. However, my friend and I ate there last night and unfortunately both ended up very sick afterward. We shared onion rings and each had the crab rangoon burger, one of my usual favorites, and spent the night feeling awful. I’ll spare the details, but this was the worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. I’m sharing this in hopes the restaurant takes a look at what might have gone wrong and makes any necessary changes in the kitchen to prevent others from getting sick. I understand these things can happen, and it’s still an okay place to go to. Our server was fantastic and very attentive.
First time 20 years of being in the cellar. Food was great, loved our waitress she was on top of things and knew menu. Very comfortable in side loved the patio area but to cold to sit outside for us today.

My server recommended the Hot Nash when I asked what her favs were during my first time in since the reopening. That has been my go-to every time that I've returned! Delicious food and great service!
Food was good, server was stretched. Tables were sticky and menus faded and hard to read in some places.

Food was subpar. Hamburger was over cooked and fries warm. Other people we were with thought the same thing. The breading on the onion rings was thick and doughy. I can’t foresee this business being a long-term business.
