Closed on a Saturday at 4:30 in the afternoon? Handwritten sign says open until 7pm due to staff shortage. Doors were locked. This seems to be their theme.
Manager was very rude. They had a large order (17 sandwiches) and said it would be 15-20 minutes before they could take our order. Not a big deal, we were in no hurry. Other people woulld walk in and they would tell them the same thing. Most would walk out. After 20 minutes the manager got very rude and told us it was now going to be at least 30 minutes that they still had 17 sandwiches to make and that he was tired of repeating himself. The sign on the door said they were short handed even though they had 5 people working and 3 of them standing there watching him make sandwiches. Again, we were willing to wait and never said a word. After he snapped at everyone and said he was tired of repeating himself, we walked out. That was uncalled for and very unprofessional. You have to let people know that are walking it there is going to be a lengthy wait. No one that decided to wait was being impatient or rude. If he was overwhelmed with an order of 17 sandwiches, he may need to look for other employment.

I went yesterday at 11am..I have a short lunch brake...there was a note on the door saying they would not be open until 12..very disappointed
I don’t understand why 8 out of every 10 times my husband and I come to the Kearney Firehouse Subs it is closed during open hours. This place is ran by teenagers and it shows, there is absolutely no management. Why is a normal chain restaurant not reliably open during their listed hours? Today it was 8:45 pm and teenage employees were sitting inside chilling with the door locked and sign off.
Do better please, I really love meatball subs lol.

Ordered no tomatoes got extra, is this some kind of joke ... not be needy but some people are allergic to things like tomatoes had to throw my sub out
Was so excited to try this and do not recommend. Absolutely Expensive for the amount of food you get. It might of been OK if the food tasted good but it did not. I trashed 1/2 of my sandwich cause I just couldn't. So disappointed.

Every time I come to this location they are out of something. Go to get a drink and they are out of everything except sugar free drinks.
Food was great. Service was unprofessional and painstakingly slow. Multi tasked between making my sandwich and watching the lobby TV. Took 30 minutes to simply make 4 sandwiches. Absolutely pathetic service!

Not only was this the least satisfying meal, the service was terrible. The sandwiches took them 15 minutes to make, so you'd think at least they were paying attention, but my chicken bacon ranch sandwich was missing bacon. It was SO strange-the girl making the sandwiches had an earbud in and just talked on the phone (with bad language in front of my kid) the entire time she made our food. Not sure if she was the manager or not, but it was just very weird. Was clearly a personal phone call. Not one to leave a bad review, but as someone who was traveling through reliant on reviews, I'd say go somewhere else

I stopped in this afternoon and I told the cashier that I was cutting carbs and asked if she could provide me with a fork so I could just eat the pizza style meatball sub without eating the bread. She not only provided me a fork but made my sandwich without the bread. Now that was excellent service! She didn’t roll her eyes at my request or anything like that. She was happy to help with my odd order and I absolutely love that about Firehouse Subs. Thank you

Came at 715pm on Friday 10/11/24. No one was at the counter when we walked in. Once they realized we were they, two girls came to the counter. They asked if we had an online order, we did not. They then proceeded to tell us it was going to be a 45 minute wait because they were getting ready to make a big 36 sandwich cater out order. I am just confused on why normal walk in business is turned away when there was a cater out? I’m not sure if this was a lack of planning on managements part on not scheduling enough help to do a larger order or if the workers just didn’t want to not make anything other than the large order, but it was not a good experience. They should have closed the store down if they weren’t going to be able to make any other food until the large order was finished. Online ordering was up and running still too. If I would have ordered online would I have gotten my order or would I have been waiting for 45 minutes. Low stars because we didn’t even get the chance to order food. 2 stars because I love the turkey bacon ranch.
