I got the sweet potato pancakes which were very good and filling, the pecans on top we're amazing 😍🤩 They definitely know flavor--even the hash browns were well seasoned and flavorful!
5-5 stars would 100% recommend.

I hate being critical....but I feel there is more potential with this joint so I am going to be critical. I scouted the menu beforehand and considering some creative dishes, Good Evans had to be decent.

I ordered the shrimp and grits and I am sure the grits was prepared with a bit of flour or corn starch. They could have been molded like clay...that is not right. The shrimp were ok, and the sausage was acceptable.
Point being, I have paid far less for shrimp and grits and you'd think you were prepared in the deep south.
Last thought, I may have done 5 stars if the food was hot, not barely warm. I was the only person there at near 7am on a Sunday, and nothing had to be rushed.

We found Good Evan’s through Google Maps while traveling west on I-80.
Our server, Kedric T, was excellent. He was polite, knowledgeable about the food, friendly, and efficient. Go Kedric!
The food, which arrived with little delay, was delicious in every way. I, because I’d never had it before, ordered the Shrimp & Cheesy Grits with Andouille sausage, yum! My husband got the GE Omelette with a pancake on the side; and he also said it was great. We also both had coffees, and at some cafe’s it’s pretty bad, but this was very good.
We’d definitely eat there again if driving through!!

Good Evans is a fantastic choice for high quality, tasty breakfast and lunch. The service is friendly and attentive, the restaurant is clean and has a positive, chill vibe to it. I’ve yet to order a dish I didn’t like. We mostly go for breakfast. My wife gets the avocado toast and I usually get the classic breakfast combo with a pancake. It’s consistently good. Highly recommended if you want a breakfast with quality ingredients and excellent flavors.
