We don't stop at chain fast food places when traveling, so when the Himalayan Indian Kitchen showed up on our search online, we thought it was worth a try. EXCELLENT choice for our supper!! The atmosphere is barbecues, but the food was great, and the one person waiter/serverstaff did a good job and was pleasant. I hope we have an opportunity to stop again and try some other menu choices.

Great food! I got the Mango Chicken Curry, which was excellent. My menu had some sauce caked on the cover, and the interior is very bland. You can also hear the kitchen through the curtain in the dining hall. Excellent food and service though!

I feel iffy about this place. The rice and garlic naan tasted really good but I expected more from the butter chicken. But walking in, there's two workers sitting in the front on their phones looking like they are not wanting to do their job. Plus one of them were barefoot with there feet ON THE WINDOW by the front door.

We try to get this place every time we pass through town. They are great with Gluten Free, as someone with celiac I’ve never had trouble eating here. My husband and I are big fans of Indian & Himalayan cuisines and we find this to be one of the best for flavor. I always get the paneer saag, butter chicken, and today we tried their tandoori chicken Tikka. So amazing all around, we cannot recommend it enough. The price is worth the quality you get.

Absolutely have loved this place for a year now. Within the last couple of weeks I decided to head there with an acquaintance and we stopped in.
Place was exactly how it always was, though service did seem a little slower with just us two in the restaurant. Im guessing that more people have learned that you could order online to have it delivered finally and they were absolutely slammed. Thats my hope at least.
It was his first time being there and a countless time for myself. Ive talked this place up to literally so many people ever since the original Everest restaurant in town had closed and that Himalayan had opened.
We both got an order of curry and I think I ordered 3 orders of naan and he ordered two. I always order a little extra as I love to share and ill have leftover naan for my leftover curry. Its always been a plus for this place, even with prices being high.
We got the cirry and rice out and then waited a little bit for the naan to come out and it did, but when I started going through my garlic Cheese Naan the quality was severely lacking. Im not sure if it was left under a heat lamp or not, but the naan was actually hard on a lot of pieces. I would say I left over 1.5 full order there on the table because of that. I looked at the acquaintance and told them that it was honestly the worst quality ive ever had with them, but the good thing was that the curry was good enough quality and he was hungry enough that he didn't mind.
As for mine though.. its the very first time that ive had this type of issue where I was disappointed with the curry and naan. I had left almost half my order on the table for both items.
Before this incident as well, I did have them deliver a few times (maybe it was pickup?) And we faced the same issue that ive brought up in multiple reviews too where the quality of the naan did not match in store quality at all.
Looking at the pictures ive provided through the year shows very soft and beautiful naan. Incredible curry. The works. Never cared if the place wasnt really furnished on the walls and that it was plain, because I told myself that it was them focusing on perfecting the quality of their food instead of just some walls people would glance at.
I finally showed up on Thanksgiving this year too. Just like my family did last year, and how we showed up for Christmas day too.
The lights were off and the doors were closed. Day and a half later I find out that they're closed until further notice. Its absolutely devastating and I hope that they only improve on food quality when, and if, they reopen.
Based on other reviews, could have just been a bad day for the restaurant - too bad for us. It was overpriced for food quality. On road trip, was looking forward to good Indian cuisine boy we were so disappointed.

I was very excited to trythis restaurant because the reviews were very good. We ordered a day ahead for a group of 11. The food was not ready when we arrived at the designated time, it was nearly minutes late,which made us late for our business meeting. Unfortunately, the food was bland. Maybe it was just an off day.
Food was prepared quick with little wait time wppd was fresh and delicious my only regret was bo getting it spicier.

AVOID THIS PLACE in my humble opinion. At the entry there was a staff member sitting with his feet on the glass door facing the guests coming in. It seemed like the folks working there were not interested in serving anyone. The guy who took our order was decent though. The curries were bland and missing salt. Even got a potato piece that was stale and felt like vomiting. The place is not cheap at all and still has no indoor decor of any sort.
