The best ice cream in town! We also got cheesecake and it was the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life - so fluffy and perfect flavor. It's so hard to choose from all the dessert options whenever we go. Staff is super friendly and helpful! Overall very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere if you want to stay and enjoy your treats there. They also have a really yummy lunch menu but we have not tried that yet.

Located in the cute downtown. We tried the chocolate cake, apple turnover, and peace Danish. They were delicious! Very nice place for breakfast, treat, or lunch. There is a pleasant sitting area, as well as a nicely displayed selection of high quality kitchen items.

I loved this store! It's a combination bakery, cakery, and cooking/kitchen store. I wandered around looking at everything from cast iron cookware, professional style knives, beautiful bowls, infused vinegars and so much more! I don't really need anything but decided I wanted an unusual coffee cup, a rainbow- colored spurtle, a lily pad-shaped silicon bowl cover, and cutting board conditioner. Nothing I couldn't do without, but they called to me. I also had a raspberry blondie from the bakery side, which was moist and satisfying. It's a good thing I don't live in Kearney since I would want to go here all the time. It's one of the stops on this year's Nebraska Passport. Yes, it's a drive from Omaha, but I decided to make a two day trip and visit others in the passport too.

I love this place although it is kinda hidden they have really good sweets. I love their salted nut roll bar it is my favourite.
I was surprised when I went to Ktown Cakery and found they had sweets and quiche. The quiche was really good. The Cakery is located in the Mercantile which is a kitchen doodad store. I will go back there again the next time I am in Kearney.

Unfortunately I've tried the bakery several times and just always seem to leave disappointed for what you pay :( The other people I've gone with have felt the same. The items in the case always seem to be old and dry, or just flavorless. Having a full case with alot of options is awesome, but quality over quantity wins this round. I really want to support, but hoping this review may help them to make changes they maybe aren't aware of!

I was highly disappointed in the cake I received for a 40th birthday party. The photo I had sent for reference clearly showed flowers and a drip covering the ENTIRE top of the cake (purple flowers/gold drip); however, when I picked up the cake, the flowers covered maybe a third of the top of the cake and the drip wasn't even on the top of the cake at all!! I was left with two-thirds of a blank cake on the top, along with it being very slanted and cracked frosting along the sides. Additionally, their communication when ordering was very concerning. I sent messages initially asking if they could do the design but heard nothing back over the course of a few days. I decided to call and they asked me to resend the messages so I did and still had no response for a few days. Finally they messaged me back and said they could do the design but needed to check their price list to get me a quote. Almost a week passed, and I still never received a price quote, even after sending several follow-up messages that were marked as "seen," so I called again to see if they had a price for me and the girl said oh yes it's in the computer, did no one tell you, and I said no. It probably took over two weeks to confirm my order due to lack of communication on their end. Needless to say I was very disappointed in the cake and service received by K-Town Cakes.
