This is the happiest with a restaurant I've been in a long time. Great food for a cheap price. I got the gyro combo which came with fries and a fountain pop for less than $10. It is extra for any sauce and not even catchup is available at the tables but I know that for next time now. Gyro was great. Fries were great, like they stole them from McDonalds. They were hot and seemed made to order. Can't recommend this place enough. Will be my new stop in Kearney!

I really enjoyed this place. Good value. Quick service. A nice break from the gazillion burger shops in Kearney. Gyro is good. I prefer my gyro meat sliced differently but that is a personal decision.

Came in on March 12 at 11:50 and watched the man running the grill come over and fix the register because it was out of paper and then dug in his ear and wiped it on his pants and went right back to the grill without washing his hands. I don't care if it's Kearney's best kept secret. Never going again threw my food right in the trash and went somewhere else. Maybe the ear wax is what makes it taste good to some people. Waited forever for the food as well. The tables were filthy and the floor was sticky. Absolutely disgusting. It was my first and last time going
Just stopped for gas and to look for a restaurant during our 10 Hour drive. We love a great Gyro! Well Nick makes just that! The kids got chicken baskets, which were enough to feed an army. It’s not high end, food, but for the quality and the price, my family was very very happy. Thanks nick for explaining the menu to me. Hey everybody, this guy is the local real deal. Make sure to go inside to order. If you have the time it’ll help save him some money and Nick was a great guy to talk to you. We will be back!

The food is great but the service is horrible. I did an online order through the website and paid for my order. My husband went and picked it up and asked the gentleman behind the counter to be sure he was getting the correct order. The gentleman told him that was the only online order he had, he had my husband pay again. So now I’ve paid $25 and he has pain $15 and we got the wrong food. When I called to ask for a full refund I was told I could come back and exchange for the correct food, unacceptable considering we stay out of town and driving back is just not reasonable. The girl then guy both told me they could not refund. They gave me a phone number to a manager and the number went nowhere!While I enjoy the food, we won’t go back simply because the service sucks! They should be ensuring customers get the correct order before leaving!In the end really 2 customers got the wrong food.
I stopped to get some fried mushrooms, fried corn nuggets, and fried pickles. Not only have the portions gotten smaller, but they were extremely greasy, to the point that the coating was soggy. I was not happy. I'm not sure if it was because I only saw 1 girl working behind the counter or....? They weren't all that busy.

I have been coming to Nick's Gyros since I visited from Texas as a kid. Now I live here. This place has been nothing but phenomenal with its food, seasonings of its meats, the quality of its fried goods and overall perfect with its portioning.Whether it be the traditional way or Nick's way, whether traditional meats or chicken, whether just a salad or a Philly cheese. This is a place you have to stop if you are a UNK student, resident or just passing through.It IS Kearney's Best Kept Secret.
