Disappointed they were closed. Maybe next time.

I love the coffee drinks. The lunch items I have tried are made fresh and have excellent quality. It is a little slower paced and relaxed than a lot of places so I go there when I am not in a hurry and just want to a friendly relaxed atmosphere.

Wonderful experience stopping through this cafe on our way from Lincoln to Scottsbluff. The food is homemade, organic and vegetarian-friendly. I enjoyed a hot apple cider, apple and cheese wrap with fennel spread and cup of vegetable soup. The server was great about health measures as well.

They serve a great mocha!

Tru Cafe is a locally owned gem on The Bricks in Kearney. For my first visit, I enjoyed a fresh brewed iced tea, made-from-scratch chicken salad sandwich on homemade bread with crisp cut veggies and blue corn chips. While I was waiting for my lunch, I shopped the darling antiques store attached to the restaurant and enjoyed looking at healthy body care supplements. The owner/server was very kind and attentive. I also tried a cupcake with homemade chocolate cream cheese frosting that was so sinfully good, I couldn't believe it was gluten-free. My dining companion had a cheese pizza that didn't leave as favorable of an impression as our other menu items. I liked the homemade pizza sauce, though! I plan to come back and try the breakfast menu and soups.

Wonderful locally sourced food ran by honest people who support local artists, musicians, and businesses. Great alternative to the chain restaurants in Kearney. One of a kind.
Great food at a reasonable price considering it's organic and local. Will be coming here again and bringing friends.

Travelers take note. No one wears masks. Pack your coffee and food. Ardent believer in supporting local businesses that respect my health. Kearney is seeing a peak like all locations.

Best cup of coffee I have had in a while. I try to stop here whenever I am in town. I have not eaten here yet, but would be open to it.

Was excited to try this place. As soon as we stepped inside we were notified that they were out of everything except cold sandwiches, which we were willing to consider, but guy just really seemed to want us to leave. Disappointing
