Spent one night in Lexington, NE on a road trip. Needed coffee bad so we decided to try Delight Donuts. From the outside the place is nothing to write home about. The coffee, donuts, and breakfast sandwiches however are a different story. We ordered a combo breakfast sandwich on a bagel, a cronut (a croissant-donut), a white creme filled chocolate long john and a blueberry cake donut. All were fresh and delicious, including the coffee. The best coffee and donuts we ever had!...

So, it's with immense pleasure that I report Delight Donuts in Lexington, Nebraska, exceeded all expectations. From the first bite, it was clear this shop understands the art of donut making. Average to above average, better than Duncan Donuts, but not as good as others. A very nice dining room. Friendly service. Clean. I was so impressed by the reviews that I got up at 5:30 am and walked a mile from my truck to see what all the hubbub was about. It was good, but I've been to around 50 bakeries around the Midwest, and I would call it average to slightly above average.
