If you love cafes with an old school feel and a Tex-Mex twist, this is your place! Hubby had a scramble that came with biscuits and gravy, I had the enchilada omelette. We both enjoyed the excellent coffee. The building has seen plenty of Lexington history and it shows. Service was friendly and quick.

Spent the morning here as my truck was getting worked on. The whole time the cook sang Mexican music from the back.
I wish I could be that happy for just one day.

The place was very small, which in my experience has ment good food. That logic worked again. Food was great. The service was fast and friendly. If I'm ever back around we will definitely stop again!

Stopped here to eat while traveling back to our hometown in Iowa was looking for a mom and pop kind of place with delicious food and an easy-going atmosphere. We found it at The Farmer's Café. Great service with a smile and a chef was a talent for cooking and singing food made with love!

While traveling through Nebraska, we chose this restaurant based on the excellent reviews. We wanted to support a local restaurant. We were disappointed. We arrived around noon and saw all chairs up on the table and the place in process of being mopped, which we were fine with. We were not exactly welcomed as it seemed we inconvenienced the workers. We were the only customers there at noon on a Friday. The restaurant closed at 2, so a noon visit should have been appropriate. The table, floor and walls were sticky & not clean. The glass sugar container had a brown contaminant in the sugar. Walls and curtains were visibly dirty. Our food was not fresh. My son’s waffle was old and chewy. My veggie skillet had large round carrots in it-which is an unusual vegetable for a breakfast skillet. The eggs were greasy. We were anticipating a wonderful place, yet our experience was not good. It seemed like perhaps the place is under new ownership and is not organized. I wanted so badly to support this local community! Darn.

Outstanding everything! My son and I came here traveling from out of town. Comfort food at its finest, matching the wonderful waitress. She was amazing. Plus we didn’t even get to pay for our meal at the end because a kind woman, whom only my son spoke with paid for our meal! Talk about small town hospitality. The menu looked great it took me a long time to decide on what I wanted to eat. Will be traveling through monthly at least and will definitely be back again.
So good. Friendly service. Best restaurant we ate during our 2 weeks out in lexington
Food was just what we needed to kick the day off! Good viddles!
We found this driving through NE and stopped because of the great reviews. It definitely holds up! The girl that helped us was so sweet. The food was delicious. And I was surprised the coffee was PERFECT. Will def return if we ended up in NE again!
