We had the seafood gumbo with collard greens tonight and we were blown away!! Such an amazing meal. Delicious!
I'm so sad I love 6 hours away from this place but I'm still going to be finding a reason to come back.
Really enjoyed all the flavours of the Jambalaya, pork chops, collards and potato salad. The cornbread was sweet and just the right texture. I'm a wimp so the collards were a little spicy for me but that doesn't mean they weren't good.
You go to this place for a fantastic flavor of Cajun style Foods.
The atmosphere isn't all the best but again you go there for the food and it is to die for!!
By far the majority of people take out their food anyway. Very generous portions.
This place is quite good, but not quite 5 stars in my opinion. There was only one guy working the entire place, so he had to take orders and then go back and cook. Props to him, but it made for a really slow dining experience. He was a super nice guy. The food was pretty good, but I've never had a Po Boy with melted cheese. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but that something I've never seen in Texas or Louisiana! The chicken wings were good, and MUCH bigger pieces of chicken than you'll see in most places. All in all, a pretty good place for something different!
Everyone who comes to Lincoln should eat here! I dropped by this gem on a layover while bringing my family back to CO. My wife found this place down the street from our hotel, and the food was awesome.

Had the ox tail and it was delicious! Love the cornbread 😋 overall recommend!!
Loved it- great seafood etouffee, nice cornbread, and very tasty Cajun rice.
Definitely worth the wait! He does amazing for being a 1 manned kitchen and restaurant.
Tropical jerk wings were incredibly flavored and juicy 😋
Fish was overcooked, corn bread was delicious. There's not a big variety of dishes so ordering was challenging.

Finally got to go eat here and needless to say this place is amazing. We will definitely be back Pokey is an amazing dude and the food is so so good. Thankyou again man your such an awsome dude.
We walk in at lunch time. A hand full of people are eating. The front area is full of clothes and blankets, must of been a clothing drive. No person greeted us upon entry, a staff member walked by and looked us them proceeded to the back. We left.

Ya'll are NEVER open!!
Edited after owner response:
One determinant of long term resturaunt success is being open and available to the customers. Have now lost us as a customer, and negative word of mouth will spread after trying to eat here multiple times these past two weeks, especially this unprofessional response. I am pretty good at calling out restaurants that will fail. This one won't make the 4 year mark.
Imagine how many customers you have lost not being open!! Wow! On a busy, mainstream intersection with w/store frontage, should have enough biz to go 6/7 days a week. Good luck with this attitude towards customers. Other reviews point out this customer service problem as well. You exist because of your customers, not the other way around.
You have time to make a response like this but not be open today? Interesting.
If you are just passing through, and see this place, and thinking "maybe not ..." Like my husband and I originally did, STOP. You need to go here. This is some of the best food I've ever had. I had the Cajun chicken Alfredo and sweet potatoes and I could die happy. Highly recommend!!
