Applebee's in Lincoln

“We went here for dinner. The host was very friendly when walking in and bringing us to our table. Our server was nice, but seemed like she did not want to be there. We did ask if the broccoli and beans had butter in it, since I'm dairy free. She told us no. The beans came out coated in butter. She did say she didn't know they would have butter (honest mistake), and said she could bring out more broccoli. I asked her if she was sure the broccoli was butter free, and she said yes. While she grabbed the second side of broccoli, we noticed the pool of butter under the steamed broccoli. When she returned, I apologized and said I was pretty sure the broccoli had butter in it. So she said she would check. She came back later and apologized, not realizing the broccoli was coated in butter. They did offer us another side, but at that point we had finished our main meals and did not want to wait longer. The manager did come out and apologized. He was very kind and offered another side, but we declined. They discounted our ticket, which was very kind of them. The salmon was very tasty, so it all worked out ok anyways. We may return someday, but our experiences with both Applebee's in Lincoln have not been the greatest. With all that being said though, the staff have been overall nice.“

“We ordered the burger specials and they were cooked perfectly, just as we requested! They were juicy and delicious! The waiter, Carl was awesome. He was attentive and kind! Our only complaint was that it was so cold in the restaurant. There was cold air blowing through frequently and not just when people came in the door. It would have been nice to take off our coats and be warm enough to eat without them but it was way too cold to take our coats off!! Some warmth and heat would have given the 5th star!“

“A few of us went for dinner one night after staff meetings all day. It was a nice place to relax and also have a sit down meal with each other. We all had various items off the menu and shared an order of pub pretzels with beer cheese. Those pretzels were amazing! They really hit the spot! They closed at 9 PM the night we were there but we all had a long day and were ready to call it a night anyway!

Parking: The parking lot is a little small and I had some difficulty with my full size pickup. Not a big deal.“
