Server was super sweet, but way over priced. My husband and I went here for our anniversary. Cool atmosphere but not to the level we were expecting. We opted to do the chef tasting where you get like 6 courses for like $150each. My husband really wanted to do this tasting but the whole table had to do the tasting in order for the restaurant to do it. Nothing really wowed either of us. We regretted spending the money on this. We love trying new things and have been to this expensive of a restaurant before elsewhere and loved it! But this wasn’t near as good. All of the combos of the dishes were honestly kind of weird and weren’t worth it for us. We spent about $440 after tip and drinks. We both would have rather spent 1/4 of that and just go to a different local steakhouse. Kinda disappointing because we both really looked forward to this and it just was a let down. We did have to wait a bit in between each course and that adds up time wise when you have 6 courses. Each course we kept thinking that the next was gonna be IT but it really wasn’t.

This restaurant was an amazing place to spend our anniversary. They treated us like VIPs. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The servers even took the time to explain each dish as they bought them out. Fresh flowers at each table and a note that said Happy Anniversary made the experience even more special. I just can't say enough!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here. The chef created a vegetarian version of their normal tasting menu. It was absolutely amazing! Lincoln is lucky to have such a high quality eating experience. The food was amazing, as was the service. Many of the vegetables are grown in their green houses. We will definitely be back.

After hearing that it is one of the best restaurants in Nebraska, we had to try it but only came out disappointed. For the price we paid (~$400 for two / no alcohol ordered), the dishes and the atmosphere weren't as sublime as you would expect.

Incredible. On the level of New Orleans best restaurants. This is a must go to location. Visit the butcher shop downstairs, buy the best filets in the country, they will keep and refigerate upstairs then hand to you when leaving. Wonderful experience.

I've been told what this restaurant is the must try in Lincoln, and I had high expectationsfirst of all, drinks were the absolute best. they definitely know their wine, and coctails were unique and tastyFood. We tried tasting menu (which you can do only when everyone at the table does). presentation, as expected, was spectacular. appetizers were delicious, as well as the meat. For me, as non-American, pasta was a touch oversalted, but there is no surprise.Deserts - hard pass. Lava cake was overcooked and average at best.The service was good, everyone is polite, friendly, and on point when they are needed. Shootout to hostess lady and the sommelier - they were really good at their job.I was going to give this place a 4/5, but in the end, we were last to leave, and cleaning kitchen noises made me feel like we overstayed our welcome. Which is not the feeling I am going for when I just spent 500$ on food. I understand that everybody wants to go home after a long day, but at this level it should not be the case. Close the kitchen or don't accept late reservations if you must.In conclusion, was the food good? yes. Was it worth that much money? absolutely no.

Casa Bovina is one of the best restaurants I had had the opportunity to eat at. My fiancee and I went for an early Valentine's Day meal, and we ordered the 28 oz shared dinner. Our waitress was attentive; our meals came out quickly. The appetizer was the only slight letdown as it wasn't as good as we envisioned. The cheesecake dessert more than made up for it. The small dining room felt intimate. The decor was top-notch. And did I mention the food was ridiculously good? It's not cheap, but the food is worth far more than the cost. Simply a hidden gem in the Midwest.

I ate at the bar and was dining on my own. Matthew , who is your Sommelier was wonderful. However, the two bartenders that were behind the bar were absent. I don’t know if it was because I was dining alone that I wasn’t that important to pay attention to but I still spent $150 on my own and felt that the service could’ve been a bit better. Matthew pretty much took my whole order and was there to answer any questions I had. I really wanted a filet, but you only had a 6 ounce portion. I really hope in the future that you can add an eight and 10 ounce.I know this is a high end steakhouse, and I have owned a high end Steakhouse but that doesn’t mean that the bartenders should be aloof or uppity. Just disappointed with the service.

The staff was phenomenal, the steaks were horrible, very very tough-one could not even be cut with a steak knife, and very strong smoke flavor. Pasta was very salty. Bread and drinks were both very good.
