A true Lincoln treasure. There hasn't been one item that I haven't loved. It's so good, the atmosphere is so fun. If you are a Mac n Cheese fan, you must make this a stop. Their soups and scones are fantastic. Seriously just go, enjoy scrumptious vegetarian comfort food.

The best cheese scones in all the land. Also, the best vegetarian mac and cheese in all the land. Really, the best vegetarian food in all the land. ?

My wife and I have been coming here for many years. We drive the 55 miles here drooling all the way. We have never had a bad meal here. We absolutely love the variety of soups and Mac & cheese choices. And for dessert they always have a wide variety of cookies, muffins and scones. No prepackaged stuff here, everything handmade from scratch. To top it off it is all made with healthy, natural ingredients. I am a true carnivore, but here I truely do not even miss the meat. This is our favorite restaurant in Lincoln.

Everything I’ve ever gotten from Grateful Bread has been out of this world. The Moroccan tomato soup has peanut and quite a bit of kick, but is so good. The texture and flavor of the scones are perfect. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Yes, the service is very slow (expect to wait in line for min 45 minutes), but worth the wait.

The BEST food in Lincoln, you can tell it's made with love. Family owned and operated, quirkily decorated (and operated!) "Keeping artist's hours" as they say, you WILL wait everytime you go, but the food is SO GOOD.Vegetarian options: All food is vegetarian and sometimes veganDietary restrictions: Vegan

I've been coming here all my life, and their food really just hits the spot. Our favorites are tomato soup and cheddar scones. And you can't go wrong with mac 'n' cheese here either. I'd highly recommend coming here if you are vegan or vegetarian since there will be something truly fantastic to eat. However, you should be prepared to wait in line. The food is absolutely worth it, though.

This place used to rule - a quaint and quirky shop, serving really good soups and pastries. I don’t live in Lincoln anymore, but used to go to grateful bread all the time. It is one of the places I used to get homesick for.I was in town last week for thanksgiving and picked up lunch on Wednesday. Even though there were ten people in line, i waited for nearly two hours (no exaggeration) for them to be sold out of Moroccan Tomato Soup and down to the last cheese scone. If you can’t provide a baseline level of service, what is the point of being open? It was great once, but I think the twee of the place took over and now there’s no reason for me, at least, to go back.

Amazing food at a great price! There’s always a line out the door and it’s 100% worth the wait, I go as often as I can. Love this place and so do the people I’ve told about this place!

The line can be long, and the counter service isn't fast. But the food is amazing, and I'm so glad to support a gem of a local place like this while we still have them ❤️
