Gave me the wrong order, then made me come back and give back the order I was given. That’s not food safety. You shouldn’t be trying to give another customer the food you accidentally gave to someone else.
If you miss Asian food, this is a to go place. They have Japanese and Korean food. I loved their bibimbap and their sushi.

Been here 3 times now for lunch. The bento box with salmon terriaki and the sushi rolls have been so delicious and the service exceptional. Favorite place in Lincoln!

I would not recommend this restaurant. We spent over $40 and did not get the soup. The salad or the rice that goes with the beef teriyaki entrée. When I called to let them know, they told me there wasn’t really much they could do but they would have the manager call me the next day. We had to go to the store to get rice to make the entrée Complete, the following day, they still did not call back and I had to call them again and said there was anything they can do but let the manager know. Worst customer service ever.

Recently went here with my sister, and I really enjoyed it! We ordered the Tuna Tataki starter, and it was so good, the perfect level of fresh and spicy. We then split two sushi rolls, which were both good. I am always hesitant when ordering raw salmon, but this one tasted super fresh! I loved the vibe of the place as well. Our server was also very attentive and nice!

Kinja used to be my favorite spot, and I’ve been a loyal patron since moving here in 2014. Over the years, I’ve seen the restaurant go through several changes in management and chefs. It used to have a great vibe, and I felt like they really invested in training their staff.
Last week, my husband and I decided to revisit some of our favorite menu items. I ordered the seared toro belly salmon sashimi, specifically requesting that it be lightly seared on the top. The food was brought out promptly, and most of the menu items were still very good. However, I was deeply disappointed with the two orders of sashimi. Instead of a delicate sear, there was a circular scorch mark on the top of the fish, and it was doused in liquid smoke sauce—it was honestly unpleasant. I’ve ordered this dish here before, but it’s been inconsistent every single time.
Our waiter, to their credit, was diligent, friendly, and attentive. We’re not the type of couple to make a scene when a dish is bad; we just don’t order it again. Unfortunately, this inconsistency and lack of creativity in the kitchen have become hard to ignore. When you return to a restaurant, you expect the same quality of food you’ve come to love—sadly, that hasn’t been the case with Kinja. Since 2020, it feels like the restaurant has been on a decline, with little sign of bouncing back.
The atmosphere also feels dated now. There are holes in the walls where decor is missing, and general maintenance seems neglected. The dark, worn-out vibe of the interior makes the place feel run down. I used to overlook the atmosphere because the food was exceptional, but now I’m finding it hard to stay in love with Kinja’s dine-in experience.

One of my friends likes Kinja so I've been there a few times. It's ok...... not ok for the price though. Last time we went, I ordered a tuna roll and 2 piece whitefish nigiri. Pretty simple, the simplest order out of our party of three. There were 5 tables being used and 2 servers working. The other two in my party who ordered substantially more than me got their food. While I waited, the server kept acknowledging and apologizing for the wait (seemed young and new). 20 minutes after my friends finished eating, still no food. I finally waved down the waiter and informed him that we're ready to leave and to cancel my order. He said my food was ready at that point which I just reiterated we were ready to leave. For the price, go to Blue Sushi in town. It's better quality and the service never disappoints. This place seems to get business because it's in the nicer suburbs on the other end of town where people have the cash and want the convienance of not having to drive to the Haymarket. When 2 piece nigiri is 8 or 9 bucks, that alone is a half an hour of my wage and is supposed to be a treat. So without being upfront, honest, or offering to make it right is unacceptable.

Sister restaurant to Koen and Shogun. Same rolls available as other places. Smaller restaurant, quiet, a little on the the darker side. Food was great, but service was a little slow for a not so busy Wednesday night. Would go again. I think itd make a good date spot for people that want to actually hear amd talk!

Came with my husband for dinner. Were seated by the young hostess. There were six other occupied tables. Two of the tables were finished and were paying and getting ready to leave. Hostess brought us water and told us our server would be by shortly. Saw a female server helping other tables . Waited for 25 minutes with no other acknowledgement. Asked the hostess if there was only one server for the evening and she said yes. I get that it can happen but the hostess could have stepped in and helped . The place wasn't slammed by patrons by any means. I use to work as a hostess in food and beverage and I was trained to help out servers as needed if I wasn't busy at the hostess stand. We left very very hungry and disappointed.
